I might be wrong, but when clubs instigate player sales rather than the player, don't the club pay the players off for remainder of their contract...not the whole value but some sort of settlement?

But when players instigate the move they still want to be paid for the remaining contract? Seems wrong on many levels to me that

Because no money changed hands when you moved to your company. If transfers ended and players could move more than once a season it'd be open to all manor of bribery and skullduggery. Thank **** for player registration

It's defo worth a conversation, unlikely to get him but Barca and Bayern look to have done their business, Real will probably want a striker, seems like Utd might not want him, Italians couldnt afford him etc suddenly you arent left with many teams and if he really feels unwanted there then who knows.
