It is much more difficult for defenders to deliver if you play the way Arsenal play. They will let in more goals just because they play a high defensive line but they will also score more because of it.

They will let in more goals because they play attacking football.

If you as a defender play in an attacking system then you must deliver both in attack and defense. Not many defenders out there can do that.

How many goals did Arsenal score last season because of their defenders? How many goals would they had scored if they would have had great defensive defenders that wasn't good helping out in attack?

What Arsenal need is a top class keeper. One that the defenders trust can do the job week in week out. The whole defense look a lot worse than it really is because they don't have a top class keeper.

I'd also say its because their defenders are ****. The best out of the whole lot is Mertesacker and I've seen steamers turn quicker. Wenger has totally lost it.

So we would allow him to agree personal terms but then turn down the offer? that's going to make relations between him and the club strained to say the least.
