"And that extra pound means the Merseyside club, who have rejected the approach, will have to tell Suarez of the Gunners' interest in him"

Suarez is on twitter. He doesn't need the club to tell him about this bid.
That rug really tied the room together.

Funny isn't it. For a while everyone was reporting a buyout clause, now it's 'inform the player', the cunts know nothing. I think everyone at the club expects him to go, it's just about getting the maximum value. The club have handled this brilliantly right from the outset.

So is it a £40m release clause, or a just tell him 'btw Luis Arsenal have bid for you, but we've told them to **** off'?
            We come not to play.

If it were a release clause then Arsenals latest bid would've triggered it and we would have to accept. As it happens, there is no release clause as the club have been insisting all along.

Arsenal are being played for mugs as usual. Guardiola is just stringing them along in the hope that pushes Real into action. Wenger is a fool

I'm sure we'll be giving Luis a rapturous reception tonight regardless of the transfer speculation.

This is good news, it means that the clause doesn't mean we are powerless to stop him leaving????

FFS why won't this Arsenal rumour go away???? Why can't they go be their skint selves and find a random striker from a former French colony/protectorate?

You know what?as much as I want our luis to stay, the more it is becoming evident that he is trying to engineer a move without putting a transfer request in , I am beginning to be non too plussed...if the gunners are going to bid so be it..so long as we get a bidding war going and we get max and reinvest back into the squad. ..no we should not be selling a wc player if we want to seriously challenge for the title , but we also need to ensure we have players that want to play for the club and on the club's terms...no player is bigger than the club

Arsenal finally found a use for the £1 coin that Carra chucked back at them.

We don't know that. As it stands by the look of it Guardiola say that the clause exist and we will have to accept a £40m+ bid and the club says that the clause may or may not exist or that the clause only force us to allow Arsenal to talk to him.

We will probably find that out very soon if a club decides to take it to court.
