That's fine, but it's somewhat unseemly if it escalates into to a tit-for-tat on the back pages. Chances are it won't, and I'll say again, I'm glad he said it.
But we can't keep complaining about being on the back pages for the wrong reasons, and come out with little throwaway comments that could get picked up on.

Would be ...'End of story' then if that's true. *crosses fingers*

I'd be surprised if Suarez wants to go to Arsenal and doubt we would sell to them I suspect we will use them to ensure Real Madrid pay full market value, the good thing with Arsenal is that though they are showing willing so far in bidding when the value gets higher they are bound to fall away, also don't they have a strict wage structure. I'd personally have thought Suarez should fetch at least £60m (especially if Bale is getting quoted at £80m).

I personally think that although JWHs cooments were directly targeted towards the Emirates, I think that the main recipient was intended to be Mr suarez and his representatives.

Jacques Brel is alive and well and playing at Anfield

ok the way I see it panning out, at this moment in time, is that Suarez gives us one more season but that there is a gentlemanly agreement between him and the club that if we don't get into the Champions League, he can leave next season on amicable terms.

There's absolutely zero chance that he'll join Arsenal, zero. What are they playing at. It's a total non-starter. They could have been completing the Higuain deal today. They're mugs, complete mugs.

Maybe we have played a blinder by diverting their attention to the possibility of getting Suarez, resulting in their No.1 target being snapped up by our own Rafa. Suarez stays, Arsenal get no one and remain ****, thus our own push for the CL spot next season becomes that bit easier.

That is brilliant by JWH. I hope he doesn't come back and say he was hacked. John Cross going OTT again. What was classless is bidding £40,000,001. Totally insulting. But I doubt he can even accept that seen as though his head is stuck so far up Wenger's arse.

I hope we stick to our guns on this. Can't see Arsenal increasing their bid by £15m. Should just come out and tell them to do one.

They could have done the deal for Higuain at 27m Euros weeks ago. Wenger is a bottle job when it comes to big signings. Saw on Sky this morning, that the most he's paid up front for a player ever is £12m. He isn't going to get anywhere near completing a deal for Suarez. Should stop dreaming and go and buy Ashley Williams instead

I couldn't give a flying fcuk if Bernard goes to Arsenal either. Their fans are deluded. They think they're successful because they finish in the Top 4 every season and go to away games shouting 'hoof' at every team.

Suarez needs his head testing if he has any desire to go there. They won't win a trophy under Wenger.

My brother-in-law supports Arsenal. He's a Wenger can do no wrong. Regularly called Suarez a cheating cu*t, but now thinks he's great.

Me and my dad have been talking about this “play in the champions league” crap this morning

Whats so ****ing big and great about having to play in the champions league! Why is he so desperate to do it.

Now granted I can understand if he wanted to play for Barca/Bayern/Real **** it, even Chelsea/United – a team that looks like it will challenge for the champions league over the next few years…

I could even understand it if it’s a young player making his big move, and he wants to play in the champions league cause he never has, it will raise his profile and help him get in his national side (none of this applies to Suarez)

But whats such a big draw for Luis Suarez signing for a champions league side that arguable he might only play four or five games in the competition…..I say that number because all it takes is one ****e side to be in the same group and there is two games he will be rested for.

I'd like to believe that but the fact that they bid already 40m, which indicates they have cash, makes me worried.

If they do bid what FSG considers to be a good offer like 50m I'm not so sure they'll say no.

Most I know are sick of the club settling for top four and more and more are turning against Wenger and the board for their inability to spend big and bring in top quality players.

Let's be honest. He is never going to win it with Arsenal is he. So what's the point.

Right on cue, had a text from my bro-in-law. "Would we accept the bid from Arsenal for Goofy. Personally, I'd prefer Higuain". I told him they're getting neither so not to worry about it
