It isn't crazy. They will probably earn hundred of millions on the deal. Money they would most probably not earn if they signed Suarez instead.

It would be excellent business by Real if they signed him for £85m IMO.

Thats making a lot of assumptions about his marketability - is he really that big a name (at the moment) that they can mortgage that vastly inflated fee on him? I don't think so. Beckham, Ronaldo, Zidane, even Owen were known everywhere after making huge waves at both international and club level in the Champions League. Bale has had one revered game in the Champions League - thats it. And he's Welsh.

He isn't that big name at the moment but after a year playing for Real he will most probably be. Real will make sure of that.

You would have to get used to hear about Bale because Real will make sure that even if you are deaf you will hear the name Bale.
