He is our best player and should at least get paid as much as we pay Gerrard.
Rodgers talks about loyalty. We as a club should also pay him what he is worth. We pay Gerrard what he is worth. Why not do the same now and offer Suarez a new deal worth at least £150k a week?
That would be a good start.Stop the cyberhate

My fellow partners and I employ about 70 people at the moment. I've yet to have anyone behave in as appalling a manner as he has (or many other footballers have) over their contracts, even when they want to leave.
If anyone in a 'normal' work situation had behaved how he has with regards to Evra and Ivanovic, they'd have been dismissed for gross misconduct, and in the latter case likely have faced assault charges.
So I don't see that we're expecting him to be morally superior, rather to show any morals and decency whatsoever, which right now he's failing to do. And yet people are still arguing that we should cut him more slack.
Not really sure how you can compare the football industry to normal working folk. It's totally different. The contracts, remuneration etc. Not just about the amounts they're paid.
They sign contracts for set periods. We sign contracts with notice periods. We want to move we hand in the notice. If we don't work the notice, we don't get paid. Footballers don't want to play for you anymore, they still want their signing-on bonuses, loyalty bonuses etc. Totally different ball-game. Nowhere near the same
The irony of the loyalty bonus in an industry remarkable for its lack of loyalty is overwhelming at times.
In Feb this year he was quoted as saying
He knew in Feb that it was statisitcally very unlikely that we'd make the CL that year. Players don't mature in three months, so his implication was that he was here for the long haul. So what changed? He bit someone, we supported him, he decided to **** off. Classless in the extreme."I'm very happy here and my family love the life here too. I want to enjoy being at this club where I, like all the kids, dreamed of playing and now I'm fulfilling that dream. I'm very pleased and very happy because Liverpool is growing.
"It's not the team that it once was as they have had a dip but now we have a new coach, who has a philosophy of the game with which the players are very happy.
"The only thing missing is to have more positive results so we can finish in a Champions League spot. We would like to qualify for the Champions League if possible. We are young and growing as a team and when the players mature, we will be stronger."Comment

What's the point in letting him discuss anything with Arsenal if they haven't met our valuation?
Seems very pointless to me.-----------------------------------------------

since the bosman, every footballer thinks hes entitled to everything. Look, im not going to have a go at suarez because he does deserve to be playing at a higher level. We're not there and might not be for at least another season and probably more even with him in the team. You're talking about why normal folk change jobs and why footballers do. I'm talking about our contracts being totally different to the way their contracts are.
We aren't purchased assets are we,signed to set lengths of contracts?
It's pretty simple really. If we want to quit our job we serve notice. If footballers want to quit their club they hand in a transfer request, forgo the remaining salary on their contract and any bonuses they are entitled to.
He isn't going to do that because he has some weird logic that he feels he is entitled to some sort of loyalty payment off the club.
Anyway, I'll leave it at that. Life's too short to be worrying about Suarez
If we get the right offer £50m is in the ballpark and then we shouldnt stand in his way. But arsenal isnt a step up in my eyes because even with him in the side they're still four players short of challenging for the title.
He wants to join them to fight for 4th every season like we will be ?
but it comes back to the same thing that we might now be seen as a selling club Alonso, mascherano, torres and now suarez. From our perspective its disheartening.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]Comment

I think you're confusing gross misconduct, and a desire to change jobs.My fellow partners and I employ about 70 people at the moment. I've yet to have anyone behave in as appalling a manner as he has (or many other footballers have) over their contracts, even when they want to leave.

If one of your staff bit or racially abused a colleague or client, then they would have been out of the door.
Similarly, if a member of staff wanted to leave, they wouldn't in all probability be participating in news conferences where they would be continually questioned about it. Instead they may make use of agencies to find another job and suchlike.Oh I don't know.Comment

Offer him a new deal worth £150k a week and if we qualify for the CL then he get £200k a week the 2014-15 season.
If you are as good as Suarez is then he deserves to be paid that kind of crazy money because that is what other players as good him get paid.
That is one thing FSG must understand.

i totally get what you are saying, and agree completely...My fellow partners and I employ about 70 people at the moment. I've yet to have anyone behave in as appalling a manner as he has (or many other footballers have) over their contracts, even when they want to leave.
If anyone in a 'normal' work situation had behaved how he has with regards to Evra and Ivanovic, they'd have been dismissed for gross misconduct, and in the latter case likely have faced assault charges...
but when someone is THE best player at a football team it would be madness to kick him out for his actions unless he was caught on camera biting the heads off kids or something like this.
no doubt this will be the next level he will take his petulance to in order to force his move, though

If Suarez leaves he will, no doubt at all IMO, be the biggest ******* in the clubs history. The Torres thread will be like a child's alphabet book in comparison to what is going to be unleashed on him."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob PaisleyComment

I agree on the money part but we've shown outstanding loyalty towards him over Evra and all the other misdemeanoursOffer him a new deal worth £150k a week and if we qualify for the CL then he get £200k a week the 2014-15 season.
