Not embarrassing at all mate. It is a reflection of feelings borne out if the way he bitch slapped the club and its fans on deadline day.

I wonder - if he came back to Anfield as an Arsenal player would Brendan send out Liverpool for the warm up in "Suarez is a Cunt" t-shirts

Depends who signs him, how much we get and if he puts in a transfer request.

If we sell him to Real or PSG for example for £60m and he puts in a transfer request then I will wish him good luck and thank him for the many excellent memories.

Rodgers talks about loyalty. We as a club should also pay him what he is worth. We pay Gerrard what he is worth. Why not do the same now and offer Suarez a new deal worth at least £150k a week?

That would be a good start.
Why not £250k/week? Serious question, as that is what you thought Mkhitaryan was worth (unproven)

It would be a good start to financial ruin. Player throws toys out of pram, we offer him much more money. How long before others in the squad try that? And when we try to sign new players they'll all demand way more.

                Fair point.

My post was on the assumption he would go to Arsenal.

                  Nearly worthy of the smiley

I'd stop at thanking him for anything but would wish him well

This is one thing I will never really understand. That really isn't loyalty. It is a part of the job to protect our players.

More or less every club do it whatever the player done to protect their investment.

You show the players loyalty by paying them what they are worth.

Ah i understand an initial reaction and it was funny watching him fumble and fall over the ball for awhile. But it got boring and irrelevant and some of the posts were ridiculous. Sure we'll never know what went on behind the scenes anyways.

Once the club get the value the players are worth.. i'm happy but not selling to our direct rivals. Most players have zero loyalty anyways. But Suarez to Arsenal after all he has said about the press... well the reaction will be fierce.

If he does sign for them... that will be the main gripe. Hopefully we'll find out sooner rather than dragging this debacle out through the window.

Clubs are great at being loyal to the staff they value the most. A small minority, I might add.

They're even better at discarding anyone who falls outside of that elite.

And the thing about wages and contracts is that they are based on assumed future performance. That's a risk. For every Suarez on high wages, you have a Joe Cole.
                                Oh I don't know.
