I hear what you say but I still can't see much difference. Yes there is the media element to it but surely that probably exacerbates the situation. Role model or not if he thinks moving to Arsenal is a career progression at this point in time then there is no difference to what me or you could feel moving on from a company where you are valued by your colleagues and directors.

There are nuances of course but that shouldn't detract us from the main point of this being a job albeit a more enjoyable job than ours.
Slightly different.. when you or I decide to leave our job, the new company we are going to do not have to pay a fee to the other Company to release us

Rodgers added: "There is no change for me or Luis. He is a paid player at Liverpool so he just needs to get on with getting fit. That is how it is.

"Until somebody tells me something different, that is what all my concentration will be on. There will be no games played at Liverpool.

"Luis is part of the group and he knows the standard you have to meet at this club - on and off the field.

          Exactly this.

The best thing that can happen for us now is for Real to come in for him.

It would be demoralising as a fan for us to sell him to Arsenal.

One good point to come from this is how well the club are handling it. Rodgers has been amazing.

And a special mention to JWH as well.

The club are playing it well but ultimately the player will get his wish.

Thing is that I think Luis understands that. My view on him is no different to what it was before all of this. If he stays I'll support him and if he goes I'll wish him well.

So you will be the first official Arsenal cheerleader then.

Is this about the now, or the fear of the next few years ?

Has Suarez, like Torres, been told by his advisors or does he think himself; that Liverpool will not become a force again in the near future regardless of him staying or not, so another season with lfc is just a season in his career wasted.

Seems to be what most in the football world believe now about the club, seeing as other clubs have had massive injections of wealth in recent years.

So, with the lack of a bid from a true 'Super Club', Arsenal are just the next best thing, new stadium built, debts nearly sorted, respected manager in world football, Champions league year in year out, and now willing to bid 40mill for players ?

                    Ahhhh Bugger!!

Haha surely not. I'll wince at the sight and hope we beat them.

What has he done? Given a few interviews, moaned about the press over here and been polite about a few clubs that aren't Liverpool.

If he goes he goes but some of the abuse and vitriol on here is embarrassing to read (not aimed at you btw)

Neither did the company we are at have to pay a fee to get us there. So its back to being essentially the same.

I reckon it's the racism charge and the biting he's talking about there.
