Basically Arsenal need to bid £55m and if the player wants to leave then the deal can happen.

If not he stays and the ball is in Arsenal's court.

as much as its great that Brendan and the owners are playing hardball with this - and how much we'd all like to see him rot in the reserves if it came down to forcing him to stay rather than selling him to Arsenal, I dont think the club as a whole will take the financial hit to pay his wages if he isnt playing (and giving 100%).

No way are Arsenal gonna go up to £55m.

I still want him to stay. Big time. I've defended him all through the flirting with Real Madrid but this desire to join Arsenal has royally ****ed me off. If he joins them he can get to ****. I'm fed up of him, but I don't really care that he's acting like a total arsehole, I want his skills in the side. He won't down tools like Torres did because I don't believe he's capable - if he stays I'm certain he'd be flat out as he always is. Stay for another year, get us into the top 4, stay, attract CL players next season and watch us fly. Gwan Luis. Gwan.
            Thanks very much for being

I doubt it's about the money. Arsenal won't break their wage structure for anyone.

As already been mentioned many times, selling him to Arsenal would mean that we have more or less no chance to finish in the top four.

If we sell him to them then I would blame the club as much as I would blame Suarez.

We shouldn't not do that, that would be crazy.

Dortmund don't sell players to their biggest rivals do they? They had to sell Götze because Bayern activated the clause and in the Lewandowski case they refused to sell him to them. They said no to €20m+. He will leave on a free next season but their rather keep him and miss out on the money.

They would have accepted a move if he had moved to a foreign club but not Bayern.
Agree tbh. As crazy as it sounds, i'd rather he stayed even if he didn't play all season, not that that would happen in a world cup year, but i really would, it would be like having 40mill sitting in the bank for next season, i totally believe we'd still get that too after a season even if all he did was train and not play, sure it harms our kitty this season, but it harms Arsenals first team too, and it's only like say a player like Messi being out for a year with Injury, clubs would still be banging down the door to sign him once he was fit.

However, i think there is so much more to come with this saga, maybe UTD will play hardball too much with Chavski on Rooney, and they turn to Saurez instead, dafter things have happened.

Right now i'm just pissed at Arsenal for kicking all this off, as it seems they are the only club bidding! ****s!

I still find it hard to condemn him based on no hard evidence, but it's getting more and more solid day by day.

It's just not in him to not give 100% so make the bugger stay.

And selling him to Arsenal would all but guarantee they finish above us.

Maybe his advisers? At the end of the day he wants to play football, I'm sure.

If they are going to spend upwards of £40m on a player then they will have to break the wage structure.

To be honest the wage structure thing is a bit of a myth anyway they had the fourth highest wage bill at £143m 11/12 season. United were 3rd with £162m and we were 5th with £119m.

Wenger ranted about Suarez being a diver and a cheat and it doesn't seem to have deterred Suarez.

Maybe someone should bombard his twitter with that. He probably wouldn't give a **** though.

Arsenal's Staduim is now paid off so the old model of Arsenal with transfer fees and wage structure may be about to change.
