@TheFarm_Peter: A semi comatose Gordon Taylor says its not straight forward - thanks for that fascinating insight you are a credit to the game Gordon!

    Ha ha ha

Sh*t, that means Arn and I agree.
I think there's a good chance he's telling the truth too (although he has a habit of lying it seems). The thing is even though he may have a valid point, the way he is currently behaving negates all that. Potentially faking/exaggerating an injury, waiting for the squad/coach/owners to clear off to Norway before sneaking off to brief the press (who he has blamed for wanting to leave in the first place!) is just downright underhand behaviour.

As others have mentioned it sounds at the very most to be a verbal agreement between Rodgers and himself, nothing contractual. Had we turned down a bid which met our valuation (£50m+) I could understand him feeling slightly aggrieved, but things stand we haven't.

Funny. Only last week Gordon Taylor was on about the modern footballer comparing them to the ones from the old days saying current one's don't know how good they've got it.

Now, apparently, he's going to help a footballer get out of his contract. You couldn't make this sh*t up

On a different note, I believe this thread should be moved to the General Football section as this rat should not be associated with our club. And I couldn't give a flying fcuk if someone comes on here and says, I backed him over his racist incident etc.

I'll back a player of LFC without a doubt. But when someone who has been backed as Suarez has, slaps the fans, club, players in the face like this...well f*ck him. I hope we bust his balls, I really do. Seeing his sad face on the front of The Telegraph, thinking he's been wronged. What a morally bankrupt person he is. Prick

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha - NOW they support him & are looking to earn their union subs - hilarious
Haha, before everyone goes mad about this though, surely it is the job of his union to provide him with representation in a dispute with his club. "Support" in this case might mean various things, doesn't mean they think he is right or will win, just that their role is to "support" the player, not the club (if that makes sense).

The idea of them representing him is extremely amusing however
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
                Mine angry and defrauded young?

Gordon Taylor never missed an opportunity to put the boot in on him all last season and the season before. The guy is a parody

Stop being such a drama queen!

There's a very good chance this "rat" will still be a Liverpool player this coming season and this will all blow over.

And sorry, I don't care what he was promised last summer. He signed a deal. If he wanted it, he should have had it included in his deal. After his first 18 months in which he's given a 4 game ban for flicking the bird to Fulham fans, banned for 8 games for abusing Evra, he should be thankful the club didn't sack him, let alone ask to leave if we don't make Top 4.

Frankly, a guy who doesn't know where his daughter is born, can't really believe a word that comes out of his mouth

August "If we don't make the CL can I leave next summer gaffa" "Sure"
Jan "I'm staying even if we don't make the CL"
April "I'll be here next season no matter what"
August "They won't honour their agreement. Transfer request? No not yet I want my money!"

So even if there was an agreement (and I don't believe a word he says) he still as no case.
