My feeling is that ~£45m is probably what we would have expected to get if we ended up selling him this summer all things considered. I'd like us to play hardball to get more like his footballing value relative to other transfers but not at the expense of getting the best deals for players coming in. Ridiculously selective. I don't understand how any Red can not support the way the club - Ayre, Henry and Rodgers - have handled this so far. Bashing Rodgers over this is mental and only serves to make it appear like you, Arn, have some sort of agenda against him.

Rafa isn't any different than Rodgers. He will do what is best for him. He wanted out at Valencia and Inter and "sorted" it out.

He will as will Rodgers always give 100% but loyalty isn't really anything they care about.

What I care about is if a player/manager give 100% week in week out. If he then ****s off then so be it. The club will survive and sign up a new player/manager.

If you don't have a very big ego then you won't survive at the top.

The thing is he's been very specific by mentioning Rodgers as the person who promised him he could leave if we didn't qualify for the cl. It also makes sense why he decided to stay for another season. I'll be interested to know what Rodgers has to say about how the conversation went.

Why are people making out as though Suarez is satan and the club are being totally honest? Both sides are feeding the press too. How do we know the club haven't led him to believe that what he is saying is the truth? Yes, I know you will probably say it's his fault for misinterpreting the conversation incorrectly but I do believe there is some truth in what he is saying. I'm just not convinced we have to sell at £40m.
