If his mind and heart are in it, then having him back is an absolute no brainer. He would improve any team in the world.

I just cannot call this one at all tbh, but one thing I am absolutely certain of is that he will not be joining to Arsenal.

Exactly this. And if I was offered the choice of winning the league but only at the expense of being owned by a corrupt oligarch or the leader of a despotic regime I'd decline that too. There's limits to the things I want us to do in order to win.

It's a tough one though. Only Rodgers and the coaches will know more about it than we do. They'll have to make the call. When the window shuts do they believe that he'll get his head down?

Frankly, we are struggling to attract the players anyway but a disruptive influence can be pretty damaging. If Madrid came in with a swap deal involving someone like Morata, will be interesting to see whether views change and what the club decide

That's fair enough. But some of us think the way he has behaved on and off the pitch is not in keeping with how we would like our players to behave. He's been here two seasons, caused no end of controversy and we haven't been overly successful in that period, although we did reach two major finals in his first. Keeping him is no guarantee of success. There's the problem for me with your argument. In fact he can be so selfish at times, he can hinder our play. Sturridge plays better up top and coutinho links with him well. Can we be more of a team without him? He is a great player and game changer don't get me wrong. But for me its not cut and dried that we can't cope without him. Therefore how do we know we'd be worse?

There is no correct answer. If he goes, we'll never know what could of been. Only if he stays then we'll see if success follows.

His actions may also have damaged our reputation in the eyes of potential signings as well. I am sure there are players who sympathise with him.

It’s not ‘my argument’. Other people have stated that they would rather us fail without Suarez in the team, than keep him here and be successful. Obviously it won’t necessarily pan out like that, but they are saying that if given the choice they would sacrifice progress at the expense of getting rid of Suarez.

I agree with your points and I have genuine concerns myself on the impact him staying will have on team-mates, but in a hypothetical scenario, if Suarez stayed and handballed, dove, bit and moaned his way to the title for us, I would be delighted.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Of course wanting him to stay assumes he'd make a positive contribution. That should go without saying really but knowing this place it's worth stating the obvious.

And surely it's "knob" not "nob". Unless you think it's likely he's suddenly going to start behaving like a member of the British aristocracy/Cabinet in which case both are correct.
                  .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I think it was a point worth making in the light of the recent comments from Carragher that Suarez had 'downed tools' in a way that he hadn't expected. To be honest the not being a **** thing seems to be more of an issue for people than the footballing side at the minute.

P.S. I checked the OED and neither spelling has the expected slang term for penis definition. Although it did throw up the enjoyable idea of calling someone a nob-thatcher. I shall take your advice on the correct way to spell this key English word despite my feeling that you may be trying to uphold an archaic system of spelling purely to make tweeting more of an exercise (or perhaps to make an anagram work in a thread I am yet to visit).

No one seems to notice my anagrams any more. Or maybe you're all just ignoring them in the vain hope I stop.

I think it's 'knob' mainly because it makes more sense (a "projecting part") and I have heard there's an etymological relationship with 'bonk'.

I agree people seem more concerned with his behaviour than his playing, but then I suppose that's not surprising in the off-season. I don't have that high expectations of players' behaviour anyway but I can understand why some a loath to give him any more rope after past transgressions. My only thought here is very few said they wanted rid of him for his "on-pitch antics" before all this transfer drama blew up in the last month or so.

Carragher's comments are a concern but just because he's not working hard now it doesn't mean he'll continue that way if he stays beyond the first of September, just as his attitude has already changed once as it is.
