Well the Support of the Fans line is clearly bollocks, its a way for him to come back and not lose face.

Hopefully this is true, because I fear we need all the help we can get this season. Even if he is a ****house.

I did hear a rumour a week or so back that the club may offer him a new contract, same terms but with a few clauses

Right is obviously that he's staying because we won't sell him to arsenal and nobody else wants him.

He'll get a pay rise for sure. I believe FSG were of the view that as we were struggling to attract the top class players then they would be better off enticing Suarez to stay with an increased wage offer rather than wasting the funds on mediocre players or sell him and have the funds sitting in the bank and missing out on Top 4.

If he can get his head down and perform to his level then this is brilliant news for the club. But it's pretty much given that if Madrid had come in for him, he would have gone. The club is the winner in this really and I'm glad for FSG that they stuck to their guns. They get a lot of criticism of certain fans groups for being asset strippers but it couldn't be further from the truth.

Personally, I still won't be doing the kissing the wrist or the pistols anymore when he scores.

It doesn't matter what he or anyone else says about why anyone does anything unless it's helpful in working out what might happen in future. I don't think that applies here - if it did then he'd be an Arsenal player by now.

So if he stays and is committed I don't give a sh*t what he says to justify it.
