If he can get his head down and perform to his level then this is brilliant news for the club. But it's pretty much given that if Madrid had come in for him, he would have gone. The club is the winner in this really and I'm glad for FSG that they stuck to their guns. They get a lot of criticism of certain fans groups for being asset strippers but it couldn't be further from the truth.

Personally, I still won't be doing the kissing the wrist or the pistols anymore when he scores.

Hmmmm. Strange that the day after Downing leaves Suarez comes out and announces he's staying....
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

It is a brilliant celebration though. As pointed out many times in this thread (before he turned into a rat), I'd often do that celebration when he scored. I'd be sitting at home watching on telly or listening on radio

            SUAREZ!

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Rodgers comes out of this looking very, very strong IMO.

If Suarez stays or goes now he hasn't buckled an inch, never came out with any Mancini **** of he'll never play again. A lot of people including myself at times thing he is full of hot air but this has impressed me from the start.

I can't be the only one who kisses the wrist and does the pistols when he scores? Surely.

I know Tee definitely does the pistols....

Too right I do, but if he stays and starts putting them away I am going to do the wrist one as well this season.

Reckon if he stays there will be a few more of these celebrations....

I think even Neil may be convinced to do it, if he stays!
