Most footballers are role models in many eyes, and looked up to by youngsters and should behave according to that. If you put yourself in the spotlight, then you must also accept the inherent focus on every little detail, compared the the people watching from the dimmer place in the room.

Footballers sell a product, a club and much more and they put themselve up to be judged IMO. Perhaps not by their values or opinions, but that makes them no less role models for many many people the way I see it.

I don't buy it.

Suárez can rightly be criticised for some of his behaviour on the pitch. As for everything else, any adult who thinks a footballer is a role model needs to grow up.

Kids can look up to them of course but that's because they've got a lot to learn, including the fact that someone who is capable of brilliance in some ways isn't always (often) worth emulating in others. Kids who follow what footballers do too much are being let down by adults close to them, not the footballers they copy.

If MrM paid every Est member £100 a month then the mods would probably don't need to ban anyone ever. We would just smile and tell everyone how fantastic they are.

im glad LS stayed but it wouldnt surprise me if Real madrid come back for suarez in january. I think theyre a striker short with benzema their only recognised striker. Theyve got morata but callejon left to join napoli.

If theyre behind barca come the beginning of the window, i expect this whole ****storm to start up again.

Liverpool's manager, Brendan Rodgers, has decided Luis Suárez will operate out wide when he returns from a 10-match ban, with Daniel Sturridge immovable as Liverpool's front-line striker.

Suárez has two matches left to serve of his suspension for biting the Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic and will make his return in the Capital One Cup clash at Manchester United on 25 September. But he is expected to feature on the flanks for Liverpool, with Philippe Coutinho moving into the centre behind the lone striker, as Rodgers leaves Sturridge to continue his devastating early-season form for Liverpool.

The England international has scored five goals in four Liverpool victories so far this season, the latest coming in Sunday's 1-0 defeat of Manchester United. Combined with Suárez's protracted efforts to move from Anfield this summer, the Liverpool manager believes the Uruguay international must force his way back as the focal point of the team's attack and that Sturridge is established in his position. The new loan signing from Chelsea, Victor Moses, is expected to operate on the opposite wing to Suárez once the striker returns from his suspension.
