Henry should have kept his trap shut, not sure what he hoped to gain by shouting off.

Surely by leaking the value to Arsenal they broke the contract first? In which case Henry had every right to stand his ground.
His what are you smoking comment may not have been because it was so low, but because it made it so obvious and so easy to defend in a court if it came to it.Comment

Don't know what the Arsenal fans are so irate about. On Redcafe the majority of the Arse fans didn't want a racist, biting, trouble maker. Certainly not for more than £25m-£30m.http://www.goonersworld.co.uk/forum/...251&start=4740
Page on this is hilarious. Talking about taking legal action against us and us getting deducted points. They really are the most pathetic fans around.
Page 314 onwards.
Had they bid £50m-£60m we would have sold, he was toxic for us in the summer. They were more concerned with financial loopholes than all out plundering which was their own downfall. And the fans were complicit in that.
Is there anything in football they haven't bottled yet?One tit for another.

Last summer was a great example of how player power and tapping up should be managed.
If only Arsenal could do the same thing, instead of rolling over for any team who offers £25m for key players, then they would probably have the firepower to sustain their challenge this season.
It would be interesing to see how Henry would have managed the Torres piece after having the experience of last summer.Comment
