the only thing i want is

      a) swift resolution one way or other so we can get on and plan for the season

      b) we don't get stuffed in the deal. I'd want £80 million minimum and given he's just had the season of ehis life and is tearing up the world cup plus has signed a new deal 6 months ago, that shouldn't be unreasonable.

if barca/real try and play silly beggers (which they inevitable will) i'll get pissed off. There tactics will be to upset the player, create tension between club/player to try and push this through.

However it's still bizarre - i know there is bias on our part, but i am not sure if moving would be a great move for him.

He's clearly happy here (based on the way he/the whole team all seem so happy during training/matches and there has been no grumblings from his wife wanting to move etc). He's loved, the team is stable off the pitch, on it we not only play probably the most exciting football around, we also build everything round him and he's the man. The fans love him etc etc

The grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Barca - the main man is Messi and they have splashed the cash on Neymar who is yet to justify that price tag. Whilst on paper with Suarez added to it it looks mouthwatering, but if it doesn't work it'll be disastrous

Real - main man is Ronaldo and they've splashed a **** load on Bale.

i just think he'd be mad to go - i could understand if we didn't make champions league, played **** football/had **** players, had ****** for a manager or had owners raping the club.

but LFC atm are a completely different club to two or three years ago - again it maybe pure bias on my half - but surely at the moment we've got to be one of the most interesting/exciting projects to be part off?

Huge sleeping giant, play for us/do well you become a legend! a proper worshipped legend that only a handful of clubs can turn you into. come here and win us the league and it'll be multiplied by 100

            I'd want £100million minimum.

Third best player in the world behind Messi and Ronaldo, and he's way ahead of Bale and Neymar. The value of the latter two in the transfer market, and we should be demanding the heavens for him if he does go.

Are you lot all winding me up?

Once he goes I'm done with LFC. I'll support whoever he goes to. Arsenal or whatever.

I want to see him play for us in the Champions League. Just one season of him tearing it up would do it for me, he can go where he wants then. He doesn't owe us anything and i'm sure we'll do well without him, but it'd be amazing to see him play against the top teams for Liverpool.

I want to see him as happy as he was beating England for his country as he is playing for us, which I don't think we've ever seen. He's always happy to score, but never that happy.

anyway - another thing - i read think it was in this thread, that signing a replacement will be difficult because selling suarez would send the wrong message to top quality players...

                                personally i'd disagree.....

i think there would be a some top class players desperate to come here because they know what it could for their careers/profile.

                                just look at recent years

torres - 'raw' 'potential' - highly rated, but playing for Atletico who at the time weren't really up to much - no one really sure whether or not to take the gamble....he comes here - none of us would have expected him to be as good as he was - he comes, blows away the league and is elevated to world super status and at the time rightly considered one of the best players in the world...............leaves us and it goes to ****.

similar could be said of suarez - no one would have expected him to be as good as he has been to the point where he is equal alongside messi and ronaldo and ahead of everyone else....yes he's the player - but we've helped take him to that status.
