The length of ban is all important now, as far as football matters concerning LFC go anyway, it could determine how much we get for him, if it's not devastatingly long, then i still feel we'll get a decent value for him, and maybe it's time to put the whole Suarez/LFC saga behind us, and move on as a club under Brendan no distractions.

Luis probably needs to get to where he really wants to be too, which imo is Spain, maybe then he can calm his inner demon.

One hell of a loss to the team though.

It's an instinctive reaction. He doesn't decide to do it out if idiocy. He needs help.

I think the best thing for him now would be to publicly admit he has a big problem and announce a break from football for few months to go to a some sort of counseling camp. Then he can come back all transformed and give the big "I've changed' interview.

Outside of the English media, journos have been poking around in Fifas rule book and are pretty certain any ban will be Uruguay games only cos that's who he was playing for at the time. He should just elbow people when they piss him off, he'd most likely get away with that, ask Fellani!

Yeah, general consensus is that a ban would only affect him playing for Uruguay.

My concern now is, obviously he's done this 3 times now. What if he does it again in the league next season, can you imagine the ban he'd get then?!!

I watched it live and was in a state of shock all night after. Still in shock. I feel a mixture of total disbelief, hilarity and disappointment. He obviously has a problem, a big problem.

The club should have done better IMHO - I work with a lot of doctors/professors specialising in mental health disorders (not for myself - just share the same building ) Suarez has been discussed quite a few times...looks like his brain was wired differently in which case how can you blame him.

The club should have hired a decent anger management therapist/psychiatrist to help him, if rumors were true and they did they were obviously being cheapskates - should of flown in the best in the business from the United States.

                    Is this a joke?

I must say (and I'm not defending him as it looks fairly clear cut that he did bite) but when I was watching it in real time and Chiellini was showing his shoulder I could see absolutely **** all marks on it. Therefore I think the picture(s) doing the rounds are doctored.

The one on the back of the Mirror is a disgrace. The Getty images one shows marks which could well be a bite mark.

It doesn't really matter how big the bite marks are, he did it and that's it.

So do I - I saw pics/stills immediately after the event on Twitter and there were no visible marks. But the BBC, Guardian etc are using that image. Saw one guy say it was an original pic distributed by Reuters.

Laughably though the Mirror have quite clearly used a totally fake picture - blood and all sorts on Chiellini's shoulder. Pathetic.

                              He has serious, unacceptable, issues.

He's going to be mincemeat in the UK press.

His missus is going to give him some stick. She should threaten to divorce him if he does it again.

Half of me wants him gone from LFC. The other half wants his goals. I reckon the septics will mull it over for 5 seconds and sell to the highest bidder.
This is how I feel too. He must have issues, but a part of me just wants him gone. I don't want that kind of attention on us or our players, but he's so ****ing good that I don't want him playing anywhere else either.

He's such a joy to watch, until he does something stupid.

I agree to an extent, but if FIFA end up using doctored pictures as evidence then it all becomes an utter farce.
