FIFA are the global body so not sure why they couldn't impose it.

Another thought. About whether "all footballing activity" covers transfers or not: we don't know Liverpool's position yet, but if they were angling for preventing from Suarez leaving, could they try to argue that FIFA's ruling prevents them from selling him?
The thing is if we appeal it's not because we think he's innocent. We'd be appealing as the club is being unfairly punished for the actions of the player while not on duty with us.

Now that it's clear that his actions have ****ed us over, for next season, I'm really pissed off. Whether he gets paid or not, he's already a mutli millionaire. We now have to look for a replacement, temporary or otherwise, or new plan.

Other clubs will be laughing, while be glad it isn't affecting them.

I think the club will decide to sell. We're getting ****ed over either way, no LS until nearly Nov or sold to Barca at what will be cut price deal. ****ed.

                What a fackin joke.

Suarez is ultimately responsible, he has to cop the blame, but fack me FIFA are taking the piss.

RTE lads making a good point.........think Uruguay will appeal, if to only delay and have him available for the next game. (not sure if possible for a start)

If they get a longer ban......so what, it'll be us who has to deal with it.

He is being punished as a conequence of his actions. The fact we suffer is secondary.

Yeah any appeal that drags on will likely only make things worse for us as he'll miss more games

They should have just banned him from International football for a year then. Not **** over his club more than his country for which he committed the friggin indiscretion. Its all completely arse about. Then again, this is FIFA we're talking about here.

You're quite right. However, you just KNOW that the press will twist it into whatever story they want to tell regardless.
