Is there even any mandatory rehab as part of the punishment? I don't think there is. Just shows how interested they really are in helping Suarez get over his problem and making sure it doesn't happen again. As you say they just want to 'save face'.

Anyway, I’ve calmed down a bit about the situation now. Without the nibble, Suarez could have played on in the tournament and seriously ****ed his knee, keeping him out for much longer and never returning as the player he was. 2 months isn’t that long and no doubt he’ll come back hungry to make the same impact he did last year. Bale didn’t start for Madrid until later in October last year and they were still happy to pay £1bn for him.

Hopefully the ban is reduced, but not the end of the world if it isn’t, especially if it scares off Madrid and Barca.

Let it go lads. The ban may or may not be unfair. That's life. Lets just take it on the chin and move forwards. Trawling the net looking for snippets or articles to back up the claims of being hard done is tedious. Luis Suarez bought this all on himself. He is the cunt in this. You only have to see the reaction back in Uruguay to see why he doesn't appear sincere when he eventually apologises, they all indulge him and almost encourage the feeling that he has been picked on for no reason.

Personally I think he should be sold, the clubs good name means something to me, but I don't see any problem in fans wanting him to stay, he's great, he really is, but come on, he has let himself and us down again. It's not good enough. His actions have probably destroyed any chance of fighting for the title next season, that's desperately sad.
