The club haven't released a statement about that though.

What happened to Barca's transfer ban?

Would have been ****ing amazing to hear the club say Luis is NOT for sale.

More than that surely? He got 31 goals and 17 assists (I think )..so directly involved in nearly half our goals.

You have to assume that if he wasnt in the side his replacement would have been involved in a percentage of the chances/goals.

If Arsenal do get Sanchez, I'd be seriously worried about how difficult getting back into the CL next year will be. I thought United would replace Arsenal in the top 4 this year given how much (and seemingly well) they're buying and How strong Chelsea/City already are, we need to spend the money extremely well if it pans out that way otherwise I think we'd be outsiders IMO.

              Johnson--Skrtel---Sakho-????
              -------Henderson--Gerrard
              ---Lallana---Coutinho---Sterling
              --------------Sturridge

For me that's not enough.. Hopefully the Suarez money will allow for massive improvements in the full back area and obviously some quality to come in for Suarez.

It's going to be very hard anyway. Success breeds success and we need to qualify consistently to reap the rewards in terms of finance and prestige. Which is why we have to buy top quality players, the best we can attract/afford this summer. Our defence will let us down if we don't improve it considerably, especially in the CL itself.

How about using the funds from the Luis sale for a top defensive player like Varane? Him and Sakho look good for France.

                  Johnson--Varane---Sakho--Enrique

I think this would be a pretty solid team and if we get 70 million we could get in a top attacker as well.

Can't imagine Real would entertain the idea of selling Varane.

Maybe not but he was being linked away from them before the WC.

We need to replace Suarez with a top quality like for like replacement. Not easy, but we do seem to have a knack of finding forwards on the verge of greatness.

Its not often I will ever say this, however I hope we take a leaf out of Spurs book here (just the one mind) we know what we want for Suarez, and if that is not met we must walk away.

Liverpool ask 88M for Luis Suarez. They don't accept Alexis as part of the deal as they want to build new team around English players. [e3]

So that's why Aspas is up for sale.

Aye, but i don't think at this moment in time that would be productive or for the best of the club or the player.

Suarez and his family have been Spain bound since the moment he left Uruguay, his heart and head are set on completing the dream.

I also heard yesterday, and i can't remember where, that he did indeed down tools the last time, and it took an incredible piece of management from BR, and lots of sensible discussion from JH to get him going and fully commited again.

Origi, Markovic and Lovren. England are going to tear it up at France 2016.
