On the plus side though, at least Stevie will be back on free kick duty, on the whole I think Luis was pretty poor at them for us, last season anyway! Can't be brilliant at everything I suppose.

Thought he was much better than Gerrard personally. He was excellent at getting it up and down from close range.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I don't know about that, Gee.

Gerrard, smash, wall. Gerrard, smash, wall. Gerrard, smash, wall. Gerrard, through the wall, goal.

Not angry, you gotta kind of accept if you get a Spanish/Portuguese speaker and he's boss it's likely he'll end up at one of them two cunty clubs. But cant be cheering him on or anything. I'll be interested to see how his relationship with Messi goes though, cant be shouting at him the way he does when Sturridge ****s up or shoots and misses when a pass was on. And he goes mental when teammates don't press, Messi was Berbatov esque last season.

We need another goal scorer in the squad. Sturridge won't last a full season and champions league. Picks up niggling injuries all the time. Lambert will add some but we must get another. I don't want us going all arsenal and signing creative players but ones that don't score enough. I think we need two more strikers to compliment sturridge and Lambert. Foirget borini, we need good ones. Now Suarez is off, anyone signing knows they have a chance of winning their place on merit.

Didn't score many though did he. Maybe my musings are warped but that game where Gerrard took over, scored and they had a laugh about it. After which Luis carried on missing from all the rest of them!

Edit: at you to Mudds! Maybe they're both not great. Ronaldo gets slaughtered for his efforts too, not easy to score a free kick I suppose.

He should get a proper welcome if he plays against us though.

He's a fool for the biting incidents. However, not one person can say he didn't give his all every single game. That's what we will miss post. His sheer determination. I wish him the best of luck, and hope we DO meet Barcelona so Skrtel can hammer him. The cunt.

I'm honestly quite surprised at how pragmatic most people on here seem to be about this. The difference in reaction between this and Torres is considerable.

Looking back at the time each had with us, I still preferred Torres to Suarez.
                          Oh I don't know.

I think when Torres left it felt like the club was in serious danger of freefall whereas we do seem to be going places with everything on and off the pitch.

                                3rd place. Worst champions ever.
