Is that what people think, that we're selling him incase of one more transgression ?

I really don't think that's the reason, imo it's quite simply that he want's to go to Spain, has probably intimated as much from day one, and after last season we probably think fairs fair, and we have to let him go.

Put it this way, if he hadn't done what he did at the world cup, i honestly believe we'd be selling him regardless.

I don't think he improved Luis, he is just immensely talented. Probably helped to bring out some of that potential by playing him in the formation built around him though, which is something that Barca will not do.

He'll be shafted out to the wing I reckon, and will be second fiddle to Messi, I don't think he will have as big an impact as he did for us, but he will still tear La Liga up.

He helped his game loads so yes definitely, Rodgers has been awesome for him. Could regress, we'll see.

He'll run Messi and Ronaldo close for World player of the year IMO.
I actually thought he would won it if he shined at the World Cup, and Uruguay went a long way......think I even said as much in one of the World Cup threads.

How the mighty have fallen. Can't even get into a stadium nowadays.

I think it's given the club food for thought.

One of my fav goals of his from last season was the first in the rout of Spurs at the Lane. Sidestep and slides it past Lloris, so easy to make a hames of it but he made it look so simple. Brilliant.

We definitely need to find a top replacement for Luis a I'd like to see us go for Dzeko if we could get him.

Not sure top replacement and Dzeko go together.

He is a decent striker but needs about 10 chances to score.

Fair play to him being **** now and all that.

We used him, spent him and ****ed him away. Like a used condom. That's how I'd like to remember him.

As for Suarez.......when it happens, he can go on his merry way if it's what the clubs and player agree on. We'll tear up his worthless contract and move on.
Whether he continues to do well or not, is probably of no real concern right now unless he starts talking ****, which I don't believe will happen to be honest.
We're of very little consequence, that much has been extremely apparent this summer, culminating in our almost by-stander impression with the fallout from the Chiellini bite.

He gave us his all (not a doubt of that), acted the maggot on too many occasions (probably enough for the owners to only be too willing to cash in regardless of his ability or his own personal wish to move), scored the goals to almost deliver us the title and now he wants to complete his dream move to Europe.
Thanks for everything Luis, enjoyed almost every minute of your stint here, but sling your bloody hook at the same time.
Bitterness is such an Evertonian trait and very unbecoming.
                            Oh I don't know.

Gerrard and Torres at their peak and Suarez in the same team would be quite a sight.

He's mental yes but a phenomenal player and we will miss him in the side, have to hope we get the replacements right

All strikers' records look like that - games against the top teams are usually tighter and lower-scoring so it stands to reason they score more freely against 'the rest'. Suarez has scored against everyone in his time here (home and away) and his record against the top teams is better than Ronaldo's was when he was at United.

I don't disagree with most of this. I think Suarez is a fantastic player, but I think he's a particularly unpleasant person at times. If you look back to this time last year I was one of those saying we should get rid.

The main point I'm making is that people suggesting that Torres is **** by comparison are either forgetting just how good he was, or being deliberately obtuse by rating Torres' exit to Chelsea as worse than biting, making racial comments, or demanding a transfer to Arsenal.

We've seen some fantastic players at Liverpool in our time. Suarez is certainly one of the most talented, although those of us who remember the likes of Dalglish, Barnes and Beardsley in their prime know that it's not a given that he's the best by far as some here claim.

Suarez's contribution last season was huge, although I'm more ambivalent about the previous two and a half years. On terms of his place in the all time greats of the club, I'm not sure he'd make it into my top ten, purely because of his behaviour. My opinion, of course.
