I'm not saying we shouldn't target 3rd or 4th at least, I just happen to agree with Norbs that it will be extremely difficult this season, and 5th is a real possibility with us losing out to Arsenal.

Özil, Sanchez, Giroud, Walcott and Chamberlain can form a really good offensive line up, with Wilshere, Ramsey, Arteta, Flamini, Cazorla and possibly Schneiderlin they have a very, very good midfield.

Lets just fail to qualify from the CL group stage, win the Europa league this season and we'll be in the CL next season. Job done

Guaranteed 2+ of the above will always be injured.

Getting a sustained run of CL will makes us more attractive again, not to mention the money it brings.

That said, would love to see us sign at least one high quality top footballer.

Man United haven't signed anyone of note yet that improves their first 11. They will be better though simply because of the manager. How much better remains to be seen when their transfer business is concluded. And ours of course.

i'm still pretty positive and looking forward to the season

suarez is a blow, but he was potentially going to miss about 10 games again, plus the 'circus' around him would have been intensfied even more and no doubt oppo players/fans/press etc would all be out to get him to snap again.

                      He's going/gone so **** it move on.

we've still got some very good players, we're improving the overall strength in depth and if we can add a good left back, markovic and then maybe even another 'good goalscorer' then we will be fine.

Well that's just wrong. Shaw is a better option than Evra. And well if anyone tries to say Herrera isn't an improvement on the likes of Cleverley etc, then they are having a laugh.

Shaw has it all to prove, no way an improvement on Evra an international fullback of much repute, yet. Why pick Cleverly, He didn't play much did he. Again, remains to be seen how much improvement if any he brings to the midfield.

Evra was an absolute liability last season, and even the season before. Most Utd fans will tell you that. And maybe Herrera will replace Rooney in that position behind Van Persie? He's a very good player by all accounts.

Arsenal have a hex on fourth which means we finish VVVV
Who is part of United's "decent" backbone? Because they've lost their two senior centre backs and their centre midfield is ****e.

**** off Chris, I said I think we'll finish 5th. Massive exaggeration to liken 5th to 10th. I'd love us to finish higher, we might finish higher but I think we'll finish 5th.
