In no way am I sticking up for how Suarez has behaved here but his agent has an awful lot to answer for in all of this, his seeming advice to Luis has been awful and you'd expect it all comes down to the % he gets from any move.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostBecause it seems that no-one gives a **** about tapping up any more, it clearly goes on all the time, but I can only think of a couple of times where action has been taken against the club involved. I think we should look to take action against Arsenal and Suarez' agent (as presumably he is the one who leaked details).

One thing any lawyer will tell you is that all the good advice in the world makes no difference when you have a truly recalcitrant client.Originally posted by rcasemore View PostIn no way am I sticking up for how Suarez has behaved here but his agent has an awful lot to answer for in all of this, his seeming advice to Luis has been awful and you'd expect it all comes down to the % he gets from any move.Experimental music, Metropolitan foodstuffs, Mexican wrestler art, London suburbia, wry whimsy, fansy pants flim flam lad

I don't think he's the sharpest tool in the box and it wouldn't shock me if he's being "advised" to make these quite frankly daft statements without really thinking it through properly but regardless he's a very wealthy, well paid grown man who has to take responsibility for his actionsOriginally posted by Venton View PostOne thing any lawyer will tell you is that all the good advice in the world makes no difference when you have a truly recalcitrant client.

That's a fair point. Alternatively, he could be being advised to be patient in order to attract an eventual bid from another club and not to act a gareth so as to put off potential suitors but just can't help acting on impulse because, well, he just can't. It's probably a bit of both actually.Originally posted by rcasemore View PostI don't think he's the sharpest tool in the box and it wouldn't shock me if he's being "advised" to make these quite frankly daft statements without really thinking it through properly but regardless he's a very wealthy, well paid grown man who has to take responsibility for his actions

I think he's desperate to move and jammed himself into a situation where only but Arsenal seem interested, in some ways him going but staying in the PL might take some journalist pressure from us as he's still going to be public enemy no 1 if he stays in the UK and we might end up getting some positive press for once
Btw I do not want him sold to a rival in the PL
