It's bull****.Originally posted by G View PostI keep hearing the "goes missing in the big games" bull****. Anyone know what his record actually is like?
Off the top of my head he's scored goals away at Man Utd, Arsenal, Everton, Chelsea and Spurs.
He's scored at home against City and Chelsea and run riot against Utd (didn't score but set up Kuyt's goal with that incredible dribble).
Also scored v Everton in an FA Cup semi final at Wembley.
He's obviously missed a few games against 'the top sides' due to two long suspensions.
Also, his records against those sides is obviously bound to be less impressive as they are the best teams, those games are tighter and generally fewer goals are scored in those games. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

From memory, he's ripped Manchester United's defence a new one, scored against Manchester City last season, scored in a couple of Merseyside derbys, scored two and grabbed two assists against Spurs this season ... I can't think what he's done against Arsenal and Chelsea, but I think he was instrumental in our first win at the Emirates t'other season.
I'd say he turns up regardless of opposition ... I can't find figures though.

There's the thing but, that's just the type of player he is.Originally posted by G View PostI keep hearing the "goes missing in the big games" bull****. Anyone know what his record actually is like?
In the big games he knows the percentages play out better if he takes the defence out and let's someone else have space to shoot.
On paper I'm sure he does look average, but paper doesn't show him waiving his partner into the space he's about to create before taking 3 defenders with him and then passing.
He's not just great, he's completely unselfish in his play and is all about the team winning.

3 goals in 5 big games this season and all his big games have been away as he was banned v Utd. His goal record in them is actually pretty ****ing brilliant so if any bellend wants to try that one they'll end up looking stupid.
