Is all this speculation coming from Suarez camp? This may be Barca feeding the press to fuel the story. Don't think a lot of these hacks know anything. I heard a report on the BBC that Suarez lawyer was on a flight to Barcelona, and they were speculating that this was to set up the move. Saurez's Lawyer.... Alejandro Balbi, who is related to his wife, Sofia Balbi, whose family moved to Barcelona driving Suarez to try and get a move to Europe..... No chance then that he was, like, flying home!!!

Should Suarez leave and we get Sanchez in exchange it will seriously soften the blow because the idea of the of having Sturridge, Sanchez and Sterling as our front 3 is promising.
Still though, maybe Suarez is the perfect compliment for Sterling and Sturridge. The way he creates space for them, it could affect the balance of the team. Either way I'm sure Rodgers will have a plan and I'm confident this won't be anything like the Spurs situation last season.
I won't have any hard feelings towards Suarez. He has some issues but he has helped elevate us to another level last season and I think he deserves our praise. Sanchez wouldn't even be a realistic possibility had we not finished in the Top 4 and Suarez is a big reason for that.

Ah, but he only moved himself and his family there to help engineer a move for Suarez there.Originally posted by vonk View PostIs all this speculation coming from Suarez camp? Would be ace if he stayed, just told Barca to fack off.

Imagine him Sanchez and Sturridge tearing the league up this season, and people having to celebrate through gritted teeth when he scores
****s sake, the vole rat biting cunt scored his 25th goal of the season. Yay.

Luis Suarez apology: Liverpool had no prior knowledge of statement as striker seeks to clear way for £80m Barcelona transfer
Luis Suarez has finally issued an apology for biting Giorgio Chiellini six days after the event, in what is regarded a move to clear the way for his transfer to Barcelona.
The Liverpool striker’s public statement was at odds with the official line of the Uruguay football association (AUF) and its president Wilmar Valdez who, along with the manager Oscar Tabarez, has stopped well short of making an apology.
Suarez tweeted the statement this evening, amid a stand-off between the AUF and Fifa that has become increasingly tense. Suarez, banned for nine competitive international games, and from all football for the next four months, is likely still to appeal elements of the ban.
Liverpool had no involvement in the apology, and no prior warning it was coming. It is understood Suarez also acted independently of AUF. It would appear that Suarez and his agent Pere Guardiola were the driving force behind it with a move to Barcelona their primary target this summer.
On the outside of the appeal process, Liverpool’s position has not changed. They will demand £80m for the player if Barcelona want to sign him. There was no suggestion from Suarez in the statement that he would drop his appeal and it is thought that he will try to have the ban of “all football-related activity” softened to allow him at least to train until he can return to playing.
In his original statement to Fifa before the ban was decided, the player denied even that the bite took place, claiming instead to have fallen into the Italian’s shoulder. In his statement this evening, he said: “After several days of being home with my family, I have had the opportunity to regain my calm and reflect about the reality of what occurred during the Italy-Uruguay match on 24 June, 2014.
“Independent from the fallout and the contradicting declarations that have surfaced during these past days, all of which have been without the intention of interfering with the good performance of my national team, the truth is that my colleague Giorgio Chiellini suffered the physical result of a bite in the collision he suffered with me. For this:
“1. I deeply regret what occurred. 2. I apologize to Giorgio Chiellini and the entire football family. 3. I vow to the public that there will never again be another incident like this involving me.”
Chiellini replied on Twitter: “It’s all forgotten. I hope Fifa will reduce your suspension” Suarez’s admission will come as an embarrassment to the Uruguay president Jose Mujica who described Fifa as “a bunch of old sons of b******” in the aftermath of the decision.

I think he's one of the biggest dickheads to ever play for this club in all honesty. He's treating us like dirt again. I think he's caused us ten times the problems that any other player has ever caused us. He's a liar and a cheat and a psycho.
Yet I badly want him to stay

In all seriousness though it's clearly time to say goodbye. Barcelona always get their man in the end, and they will here.
Without wanting to be melodramatic (I'm going to fail aren't I?) we can kiss a title challenge bye bye this season now. Without him we have no chance of that.

We'll hold off and act as though he's going nowhere until we've secured other targets.Originally posted by Chazza View Post'If' he is off I hope we can get it sorted quickly.
Be **** if it drags on until the end of August and we are left running around panicking trying to get players in.
It'll probably drag on until near the end of the window.
