Luis is a passionate guy - we'd risk upsetting him hugely if we prevented him from going. On the plus side, he gets to play competitive football in the build up to the season - so hopefully he'll hit the ground running!

Wouldnt mind if he missed a game or two for them, but we all know he will definitely be a starter for them; chances are he'll be playing the full 90mins in each game.

I don't see how this would really make him much more tired in the long run than anyone who went to the Euros? Ultimately they'll have played the same amount of competitive football in a 12 month period. Anyway, given our (tough) start, the possibility of having Suarez extra-sharp in those fixtures could be worth any later consequences.

Besides, its not beyond the realms of possibility that Luis will manage to do something silly at some point of the season to get himself a few games break...

Im more annoyed that Coates is going to be in the Squad. He would have been perfect in those qualifiers.

Not too arsed about Luis going.Instead of playing meaningless friendlies he'll be getting match fit and playing competitive games. If they get to the final he'll be back at the start of the week leading up to the first game so we could play him if we really wanted to.

Its not like he'll be lacking match fitness.
