They were talking about it at length this morning on Talk sport. It's embarrassing.
    *Except Michael, who died.

Welcome to the 24/7 media age, where fact checking is irrelevant even for reputable outlets.

Attend any non-league, reserve and youth football game.
Watch school football games or attend football activities.

How can Fifa enforce these? They don't own football as a concept, nor the state education system. They do have influence (but not control) over professional football associations and clubs, and some of those things are stretching it, like representing Liverpool in non football related things (like visiting a hospital).

Luis Suarez football ban lacks clarity, says players' union

The PFA's take on what Suarez cannot do during the ban

          Train with the Liverpool team.

          Enter Liverpool's Melwood training ground.

Use any Liverpool FC fitness facilities.

Attend any professional or international match.

Attend any non-league, reserve and youth football game.

Watch school football games or attend football activities.

          Play in a charity match.

Take part in a club visit to a children's hospital.

Hand out awards at a junior football club.

Attend a Football in the Community event.

Speak at or attend a supporters' club event.

Attend a function on behalf of the club.

Be involved in campaigns on behalf of Liverpool FC or Uruguay.

Take part in events with football-based sponsors.

And what they think he can do

          Sign for another club.

Train on his own away from official club facilities.

          Give media interviews.

Play football with his children or friends.

Talk about football on social media.

Attend amateur football games as long as it is not in a stadium.

Watch football on the TV both at home and in public places.

Play football on a games console.

          Just clearing this up.

They obviously can't enforce a ban on it happening but they may well decide to increase a playing ban for violation of other aspects

That's so disappointing I would have loved to have seen them try and enforce a ban on him playing football games on a computer or games console
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Notwithstanding what LFC want to do, because I always thought he would be sold with or without the bite however ...... Does no one else consider the transfer of a player between two of the worlds leading clubs a, "football related activity". How in Gods green earth can that NOT be football related and therefore part of the ban?

The trade is between two clubs I guess, with Suarez being a commodity

It seems ridiculous to me that he can sign for Barca yet can't have a photo of him in his nice new shirt in the Camp Nou cos he ain't allowed into stadiums during the 4 month ban!

My understanding is the ban is for "Football related activity" in areas governed by FIFA. Surely that includes transfers?

Maybe he's already transferred but no-ones allowed to announce it because it would then be football related.

Only if he had "already transferred" prior to his ban but if that was the case, it would have been announced already would it not?
As and when he does transfer, if the signature on contracts between the clubs and all the player registration stuff and the transfer of funds to LFC etc., if any of that is dated during the 4 month ban, how can that NOT be football related?

Taking a while isn't it eh.

                              Hopefully the move falls through.
