You see I look at his conversion rate and it frustrates me.

I know, I know, I should ignore that and concentrate on his six goals but his wastefulness riles me.

If he could contribute to a similar level while playing from the left and we bring in a more clinical striker to play at the point of attack then great.

we need luis to play behind the front man, whoever he is. he will still score, but then others can benefit from his creativity.

        EDIT:- What Pablo said
Possibly - he can clearly be effective out there, but we'd lose the width that Rodgers wants then. He's spoken about how he likes to have width in the team time and time again. Move Suarez out wide and you take him away from the game, which is the last thing you want to do with your best player. I don't know. Food for thought. One thing's for sure, we need more goals in the team. Suarez is doing great - he needs a hand.

He is awesome running down the channels though. His ability to cut across the defender near the byeline and race past into the box is spectacular. I think he shoud just get a free license and the other forwards should move into space accordingly, i.e. when Luis drifts wide the WF goes central etc.

Yeah, she was hilarious! Pure pantomime stuff at it's finest just in time for the festive season!

He also has waaay more shots on goal than anyone else. I think his conversion rate is lower because he's much more likely to have a go at goal from anywhere / angle, whereas the others will look to pass & try to get into a better position (the Baines OG yesterday being a prime example).

I take it the first goal is officially a Baines OG? No point taking it the DGP because they ain't going to give Luis ****. They wil probably try and find a way of taking the second goal away from him.

IMO Rodgers doesn't play with two out and out wingers. One is usually more of an inside forward. Its usually the fullbacks who provide the width.

If that's the setup Rodgers wants then Suarez is absolutely tailor-made for that position. It'll be very interesting to see what he does.

                          Could be very good!

I'd ****ing love it but it would probably be too much for the sport to survive.

Would we rather one who scores a goal a game or thereabouts or one who scores in spells and then none at all for a while. I'd rather both.

I'll say it again for you all that seem to be missing the point. He's great but he needs help, he's not a lead the line kind of guy and we'll never win leagues relying on him alone to score goals.
He would be even better if he has AM and a striker to complement him in the final third.

Those 2 are missing pieces and hopefully we will adress both by next summer.

Suarez - Dzeko etc - Sterling

I think Suarez can get just as many goals from that position too as he's absolutely magic at dribbling into the box from the wide areas.
They used him everywhere, in the middle, on the left and on the right but his goal scoring record with NT is so good precisely coz he's surrounded with much better quality than he has with us.

That said, he wasn't brought in to be go-to striker but to complement/support Torres and personally I think if he can convert 1 in 4 that would be good for us along we bring a true striker sooner rather than later.

Another thing to bear in mind is that Suarez doesn't take our penalties. A majority of the other clubs top scorers do.

Don't matter. We don't get any.
