Stick by him, publicly stick him in anger management or something daft, bollock him, fine him and make him apologise in front of the cameras if we have too. But stick by him.

What he did isn't half as bad as the Cantona kick. Might even not be as bad as the headbutt from Zidane. Sticking by him could in face make his bond with the club stronger.
This all day long. Couldn't give a ****e what Sky or manu fans want us to do. We need to do what's best for LFC. No Liverpool fans are going to stop supporting us or buying our shirts because of this.

After the Evra gate the club was told in the New York Post to sort it out with Suarez. Last chance saloon and all that.

They own a part of FSG IIRC.

It wouldn't surprise me if Rodgers been told to sort out Suarez or he will be sold. Suarez that is, not Rodgers.

And the public are ****ing stupid enough to lap it up. Surprised they showed the Defoe incident at all to be honest!

If the FA are consistent they can do **** all to Suarez without admitting to being hypocrites after overlooking what Defoe did. Rightly or wrongly they have set the tone.

you're thinking of the new york times, and i think they've already sold their stake. they're trying to get out of a bunch of other businesses they went into right now, had nothing to do with us.

I don't think the FA care about being hypocrites. Look at the different punishments they gave Suarez and Terry for the same offence.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Suarez got more because the deemed that he committed the offence multiple times.

They had an excuse for that though, this time its clear cut, both incidents are the exact same.

Suarez got a longer ban for 'repeatedly' abusing Evra I thought they said. Terry was just the once?

Just looked it up, apparently the FA "did not find the reference to Ferdinand's colour or race an aggravating factor such that it would double the ban."
Since when is "****ing black cunt" not an aggravating factor?

Do we really need to go over this again? Can't we take things and judge them for what they are rather than in comparison with other incidents. Does it have to be relative?

Anyway, back to topic. Here's an interesting take on it.

                                "AnfieldForum.com ‏@AnfieldForum 7m
Here is a theory on Suarez. He said he wants to stay, is loved by the fans. But deep down he wants champions league so engineered this so he would get sold to a champions league participant but not look like a Judas / fallout with fans in the process. Dunno but interesting. He left Ajax after biting someone, was loved by their fans but wanted to leave, left as a hero, not a judas. Just a thought anyway."
