Of course it's not clearly measurable! It can't be an accepted wisdom if you haven't accepted it either. You're also asking me to prove something you know I can't prove just to win an online debate

But I think most people would agree that Liverpool Football club is in some way now synonymous with racism in football. I've had "fans" of other clubs throw it at me time and time again to wind me up and it's maddening.

So far we've handled this situation much better, and although it hasn't helped with the verdict, the club seem to be coming off much better for it.

I grew up as a kid being proud to be a Liverpool fan not only for our on the field success but also for the principles the club stood for. We did things the right way, people looked up to us as standard bearers.

I just feel Suarez has single handedly made a dent in that reputation (yes it's subjective) and fans shouldn't let him off just because he's good. That's all.

What a complex bunch of corrupt cunts.

I want the club to appeal

If that fails they should take the FA to court!!!

I don't think the ban itself will be the reason why he leaves if he do it. I believe that the reason will be that he won't even be able to go out having lunch/dinner without being harrased.

A lot of people will still of course support him but he will be harrased a lot.

It is best for his family and himself that he move to another league.

I'm not trying to win, I just don't see it at all. Suarez is the one whose rep is damaged IMO, not the club's.

And I massively disagree that the name of LFC is synonymous with racism.

My mate Jermain Defoe bit Mascherano in 2006 and he got a booking and no ban was given. So how have we gone from that to a 10 game ban??

The only possible way we can appeal is against the severity of the ban.

If we appeal it goes to independent commission who will access it and can either put it down or increase it if they see fit.

Bit of a tightrope for the club this.

I'm nearly certain it would be reduced on appeal. But will we do it?

I hope he stays, we'd be mad to sell him however,

Arsenal without Van Persie currently have the same points per game as last season and are on course to finish with 70 points, same as last season.

If he goes and if(big if) we invest the money wisely we could be at the very least no worse off.

I'd rather he stayed and we added to his quality so we can improve rather then stay the same though.

Moreso considering we already have Carroll on the books!

No way would I sell him.

Trying to be impartial here (if that is possible) but I agree wholeheartedly with the Uruguayan journos, this is just too much now. As much as I want the best for Liverpool FC I would not blame him now if he wanted to leave. It really is more than just a punishment this ban, it is a calculated attempt IMO by the FA to get him out of this country.
