Put it this way, if Suarez was a Barca player and I told ye we could be in for him this summer, ye would **** and piss yer pants laughing. That says it all really.
Undoubtedly.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

'Football is a simple game based on the giving and taking of passes, of controlling the ball and of making yourself available to receive a pass. It is terribly simple.'
He's not a Barca player. He's our player. And one who's already served one lengthy ban for racial abuse and is currently serving another for biting a player. For the second ****ing time. I don't see the comparison.

You've changed your tune now? Yesterday you said we should sell Suarez in order to by 2 world class defenders. Now you're saying we should sell him to add squad depth?
Buying two world class defenders would add squad depth. We have less depth in defensive areas. We need more. We have more depth in attacking areas. We don't need more.

The point being if Leo Messi, Xavi, or Iniesta all went and bit someone tomorrow and racially abused someone, we'd definitely still have them in the team because they would improve us and make us better as a football club.
The same applied to pretty much any team in the world right now with regards to Suarez. Chelsea, United, City, Madrid, Barca, Juventus, PSG, they would all take him in a heartbeat.
Out of curiosity, did you (or anyone else thinking we should sell him) think we should have sold Fowler in 98/99?

I'll answer your points in paragraph order.
1. I wouldn't have wanted them if they had racially abused someone, bitten players on two separate occasions and refused to shake hands with the abused player after telling the manager I would. Straight up. It's not one - off stuff, is it?
2. I'm sure they would, that means nothing to me.
3. Robbie was a **** for doing that to Le saux but he didn't do it again and fair play to him for that.
How many chances are you going to give Suarez? 4, 5, 6...?
Here's a question for you. Diouf was pretty much universally despised by us and he did less than Suarez to deserve it. Did we hate him because he was ****? And we love Suarez because he isn't? Where's the compass in that?
At the end of the day it's a meaningless conversation anyway because odds on he'll want away to a club that will offer him more money and success shortly, leaving behind a shed load of jilted lovers on Liverpool forums across the world all asking the same question: how could he leave us when we loved him so much?

That's fair enough, maybe that says something about my moral compass because I would take the trio, even if they did those things. I thought nothing of the Suarez bite in Holland when he signed, or even the handball. The racism thing was a ****ing mess. It wasn't all down to him. (How it got made worse than it was, whatever was said well that's a different story) I laughed at the hair pull on Rafeal, and to be perfectly honest I laughed a bit when he bit Ivaonvic.
I might not mean anything to you but the point I was trying to make was that he would walk into any team in the world, he's world class, top 10 maybe even top 5 players in the entire world. I tend to look at things from a purely footballing point of view, and in that sense he makes us so much better. The benefits of selling him in my opinion do not outweigh the draw backs. We could bring in 3 people for the money we sell him for and the team would probably be worse off. I've seen many people saying that Van Persie has single handedly won United the title this season, and Suarez has been keeping up with, and even bettering him, every step of the way. If we built a decent team around him we could actually be up there, CL even looking towards winning number 19, and that for me far outweighs any ethical issues that he may bring up. But that is obviously where our personalities differ.
Don't get me wrong, I can see why selling him may seem like the right way forward. Some of the things he does are ridiculously stupid. And it is all his own fault. I just believe he brings too much for the team.
Fowler was my hero, and that's the reason why I brought him up, he Le Saux/Goal celebration thing was really silly at the time. But he came back the season after and was electric. I just feel Suarez can do the same. I know Robbie was more 'naughty' than 'violent' but I just believe thats the way Suarez is. It's in the guys blood.
I didn't hate Diouf actually, although I did think he was ****e, I don't know I've just never really took footballers personalities into it. Not when they play for my team anyway. As far as I'm concerned if they make my team better then I'm happy for them to be there. I'll be disappointed in their actions but never really enough to want to sell them. (The exception to this rule being Itandje, that prick deserved to go) I even despise Martin Kellys face, but I don't want us to sell him!
It is a meaningless conversation aye, but so are 99% of the ones on here. One the one hand we get to worry about Suarez leaving and on the other we could have a Greek fella with a big chin coming in. Both might happen both might not. It's what makes football so great

Completely agree with you that he's the best player we've had in god knows how long and on the football side he will be a massive loss. He's the most exciting player we've had in decades probably. I certainly don't think we should sell him on footballing grounds.
If was certain now that he wouldn't do it again I'd want to keep him. But he'll do something, he just can't help it. Taken in isolation, apart from the Evra thing, they are quite funny. All players dive now and again, nearly all would handball to stay in the world cup, and pulling Rafael's hair is just plain funny however you look at it.
Horribly though, I think he'll leave us to further his own career. One of my colleagues in our Amsterdam office said when we bought him that he'd play brilliantly, score goals, make assists, get tons of cards and get banned every season for some nonsense. She was right. She also said that after a bit he'd engineer a move away and make out that it wasn't his decision, he was being hounded out etc. I suppose we'll find out on that one.
She also met him in the local supermarket where he was with his family and said he was the nicest bloke you could hope to meet, chatting to people and signing autographs. I think it's only on the pitch he has his issues. I do have an issue with what happened to Kenny in that season because of him though and it still ****s me off.
Anyhow, to clarify, if he does stay and doesn't rub our faces in the **** again then I'll be made up. And Martin Kelly does look like Bruce Campbell's idiot brother.
Last season I don't think he contributed enough, he wasn't clinical enough in front of goal and I thought we should cash in and buy a decent striker. This season he has been phenomenal, the best player in the Premiership by miles. I wish he'd sort his head out, but he is irreplaceable at the moment. We need to build not diminish. I have changed my mind and there's no way we should consider selling the most gifted footballer in our league. We're lucky to have him.
Football Talent aside? not really sure you can put that aside tbh. Also he has also created many postive headlines and scored goals that will be shown across the world.
The Negative headlines don't last long, The Positives far outweigh the negatives.
WOuld be devestated if he left, The 1 world class talent we have now and a pleasure to watch. I also wonder what sort of effect on the rest of the squad, despite him being a cheating rascist vampire ******* he is very much loved by the rest of the team and the manager
The negative headlines and controversy are a recurring theme though - I'm not saying we should sell him but I can understand why some are more open to the idea.

No it wouldn't, bearing in mind 3 of our central defenders look likely to be leaving in the summer.
