I have really gone off football this last year, well the players really. Seeing us get shafted by a top player, just as we seem to be on the cusp of building something, is becoming more and more regular.

I love Suarez for his football, his skill and passion are awesome. His attitude, often, leaves me with a bitter taste though. If he wants to leave, we should stick to our guns and demand reasonable payment. If not, then make him sit out his contract a bit more.

As an aside, it's interesting to see the difference between real football and the NFL. Players there are cut / cast aside just for being injured often times, the clubs seem to hold the cards and not the players.

I disagree with you, but I don't disagree with your reasoning or right to feel that

I would feel let down, but I still retain a glimmer of hope that he will stay. Just hope he waits to see how we shape up this summer before making such a big decision.

Higuain would definitely soften the blow.

That means that a lot of **** have been posted in it. Add the probably more than 10k posts that been deleted and this thread deserves a one star rating.
Sorry Arn, but believe it or not there are only 5 deleted posts in this thread

Their players are forced into using pain killing drugs to play through injuries, often destroying their careers, because they know there's always someone younger waiting to take their place.

They do get well compensated for it, even better than EPL player, but still I don't think its a good environment and I don't think enough star footballers are produced to maintain that mentality even if it was one we wanted.

Give Alex a minute, I'm sure he can remedy that.

Better than Callejon. He can't even get game time for Madrid. Or Ozil

I'm not sure it would. I really don't think he would work well in our new system.

Would he? Not for me. Benzema and DiMaria or Alonso would though.

Why would you want DiMaria when we have Downing

Christ, I'm not sure merging 10k posts together wouldn't make the site fall over completely

I'm keeping my powder dry after the two times I had to replace all my Gerrard paraphernalia. Nothing gets a fire started like 2004/05 Gerrard shirt though
