I don't think it will be that much for Bale but still think they will get more because Bale keeps himself out of big trouble and hasn't comeout and said himself said he might leaveOriginally posted by Reece View PostJust seen on Twitter that the Times reckon Real will splash:
£40m on Suarez
£85m on Bale

So how much could Real earn off the pitch if they signed Bale and how much if they signed Suarez?Originally posted by Nigey View Post

If Bâle is worth this then Real will have to fork out £200m to get both.
Bale the new Beckham off the pitch. IMO that is what Real is planning to do.
They earned more than €300m off the pitch thanks to Beckham.Stop the cyberhate

from now on I will skip talking about our finances. That is a promise and will save myself from looking like a

how did you come to this conclusion? this guy would fit in well with the mids running the show as well has having fantastic technique and off the ball movement and is a proven goal scorer... hate it if our own number 7 left, if it is true that he is angling for a move, but so be it, 40Mill plus Higuain ain't looking so bad right nowOriginally posted by Phoenix07 View PostHiguain wouldn't fit into our style of play, so no thanks.

IMO, his technique is poor. I've watched Real since the Capello days, and he's a goalscorer, but he relies on quick bursts of movement. He's inconsistent and not good at retaining possession. We need consistent players who can contribute to an overall game, not just goals. Sturridge and Coutinho for example can run directly at players, keep the ball, score goals and create. Di Maria and Benzema are inconsistent, but they match the other criteria.Originally posted by Myo View Posthow did you come to this conclusion? this guy would fit in well with the mids running the show as well has having fantastic technique and off the ball movement and is a proven goal scorer... hate it if our own number 7 left, if it is true that he is angling for a move, but so be it, 40Mill plus Higuain ain't looking so bad right now

Torres has better goalscoring stats for Chelsea now, but it doesn't stop him being poor.

I agree with your first assessment in regard to him playing during the Capello era in regard to consistency and ball retaining, but he has improved quite abit in regard to that as he has gotten older (and mind you, with less playing times)...Originally posted by Phoenix07 View PostIMO, his technique is poor. The second comment in regard to sturridge and couts running directly and doing all the other stuff is true, but aren't we also trying to strike a balance across the field? ie. Suarez does all the same as well, but IF he does need to go, who else do you think we have in mind that could do just as well and lead the fwd line? Hugs has improved quite a bit in terms of decision making and does tend to play off the shoulder quite a bit...if we are seeking to address that balance, i can see no one else that can fit that criteria and is available and would be compatible playing to sturridge's and cout's strengths... that is my opinion anyhow...
