Fantastic player, he carried us a lot during the season, especially up to january when he was are only striker. But it didn’t seem like we missed him so much in his abscence. If he goes and we get in suitable replacements.

Will it really be a big miss?
This last great run we went on is being used to prove why we can do without him. However there are two glaring points being overlooked.

          1. As we have done for the last few seasons we played well when there was absolutely nothing to play for in those games.
          2. The brilliance of Coutinho was suspiciously absent in the games against Chelsea and Everton. He has not proven anything against decent opposition.

All these people saying it'll be great when we get 2 players who can play more in a team and will make us better than without Suarez, who are these 2 players? And what makes you think we are attracting them? I agree I'm totally down right now, but all I see is us struggling to attract world class players, instead hoping if we sign enough players with potential for cheap, one or two will come good. I don't believe for a second that Coutinho, Alberto, Aspas and Sturridge are suddenly catapulting us above Spurs and Arsenal.

I'm badly hoping that John Henry and Ian Ayre prove me wrong but I'm not seeing it.

It was Coutinho who put Sturridge through v Everton with a sensational pass. Massively involved in our incredible goal v Spurs aswell.

if we only have one fantastic creative talent, eg, coutinho, or one fantastic goal scorer, eg, suarez, then it is a massive loss if they are injured or suspended. likewise, other teams know who our danger man is and can double up on them. this is were having other options comes in to play, coutinho will draw defenders, and make space for others. we need quality in all positions.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

No player is bigger than the club - true.

That said as a club that is now struggling to hold its top players to English clubs let alone the likes of RM or Barca and cannot attract quality transfers personally think we are ****ed without obscene sugar daddy like expenditure. Sad but true

I will always blame Moores and Parry.

It takes time to fix the damage done by previous set of owners and tons of bad buys that we have done over last 4,5 years.

The progress is evident and imo we are moving in the right direction but there is no doubt that things will not get better over night.

One of the teams we are trying to mimic now Borussia Dortmund was in terrible shape not long time ago but they recognized that with shrewd buys and slowing adding a piece by piece they can turn the corner and we will need to do the same.

Yes it is true that we are dealing with catch 22 here (We cannot get in CL unless we get quality footballers and quality footballers for the most part won't come unless we play in CL) and that our best players can't wait indefinitely to see us competing for top honors but we have no other choice but approach this methodically and systematically as we are not own by Sugar daddies.

It will take what will take, which is fine by me under given circumstances as long as the signs of improvement are clearly visible year by year.

aye, but lets look at the bright aspect of borrusia's rebulding - lucas barrios, one of the best strikers in europe at the time, who was sold to make way for the then rather unproven lewandowski, hopefully someting similar will happen here, and other players will step up, and also we use the money we get wisely.

I'm just relieved that big lump Benteke isn't an option. Michu is interesting but a sneaky, freaky demon up front would be great for sure. Read up on Muriel a bit and he looks like he could be some boy. Real Ronaldo mk 2 sounds ace!

A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

I will reiterate my stance on the situation.

I'm not so worried about Suarez leaving, it's our record of buying.

I doubt Muriel is even on our radar.

Shame. He sounds brill. Right profile too. Young, a wonderful technician, already a good performer and the potential to become even better (YouTube AND wiki!!!).

                              Go get him Brendan.

Why do people think Suarez will join Arsenal? He said its flattering and that's it. He said the interest of English clubs showed there is a possibility he could remain in England - as in remain at LFC.

He wants out but only to a big foreign club. He will not move to a premiership club. I guarantee it. Stop believing twisted quotes and the press who want to milk it.
