I don't think Suarez would want to go to arsenal if push came to shove. A few cl games with little hope of winning it, a smaller global fan bass and reputation, same salary, little chance of a title challenge, stays in England, pisses off millions of liverpool fans... It makes little sense and I don't think he'll go there. His agent is just happy that they are showing interest and maybe getting some momentum to his departure.

They get a decade of work or 15 tops. Would you want to piss away large chunks of your career if you knew you were better?Originally posted by Leyton388 View Post
They want it all, and they want it now, and if that means moving with the bonus of a huge signing on fee after one or two seasons, then thats what they do.
Sorry to say but footballers are employees and we have to make them stay through success or money (or both).Was muß, das muß.

Still cannot believe this clause thing will be brought to a head so he can force through a move to Arsenal. If Madrid (or Bayern) offer £40m that might well be a different story, but Arsenal I can't see being used as anything other than a stalking horse by his agent. Just makes no sense otherwise.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

if there is some grey area in the contract that means its unclear whether the 40m is;
1, you may now speak to the player, but we dont have to sell.
2, hit this price and you can have him.
lets hope the wording is watertight and we dont get bitched. with our poor form of not even speaking to the right agent, etc, i dont hold out too much hope that it'll be number one
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Luis would not choose Arsenal, not a chance. They are far from a step up and he has nothing to gain from going there. Im convinced that his agent is trying to force other clubs to move for him after they see Arsenal making a move
Im also convinced that Luis was feeling uncomfortable with life in the Premier League because he thought no-one respected him anymore and the lack of respect from fellow pro's was making him want to leave. Now that he has seen other Prem clubs do want him I think he will just be enjoying the attention and feeling more relaxed which will benefit us when his ban is over and he can get on with winning us points

reminds me of why I loved him so much in the first place! If he goes to Arsenal, I'll easily forget about it though. Ugh. Can't believe these Arsenal rumours are still circulating. I hope Kenneth is right!
