Even at 55m, we should never sell to Arsenal, or Spurs for that matter. City or Chelsea maybe, cos we're not realistically competing with them. Selling our best player to Arsenal would be like Boston Red Sox selling their best pitcher to the Yankees, and someone should tell John Henry that.

pleased with the club's stance - they've made all the right noises and moves so far.
regarding Suarez - i do want him to stay because he's a top player and we need as many top players as we can get
however if he is to go then i want it done asap, for as much as possible, with a good replacement lined up - and preferably he goes abroad
re arsenal - can't see why he'd want to force a move there.
- City/Chelsea er, yeah, cause they will pay him £300k a week and look more likely to win trophies. Real Madrid/Barca/Bayern Munich I could see - but Arsenal, really? haven't won anything for 8 years and consistently have sold their best players, worse than us - surely life at liverpool isn't so bad that he'd want a move to them.
I think Arsenal are doing a bit of on Everton, using their interest in Suarez (likewise with Rooney and Higuain) to appease the fans a bit.
I think suarez and his agent will use the arsenal interest to try and force interest from Real.
Real's tactics will be show no interest, let it drag on, they will prob be in contact with Suarez/his agent all the way - probably tell him to go AWOL, miss training or just throw a real hissy fit right before the transfer window closes - where they will come in with a £25m bid hoping by that time we are so fed up that we'll be glad to get rid
Liverpool - the way i see it, we should say look Luis, it's simple there is zero chance of us selling to a premier league rival, it's not going to happen so accept it, plus one of the main reasons you say you're unhappy is because of the english media. If you are going to leave it's got to be abroad. And we say too all foreign teams....starting bid is £45m
And then don't budge. - We hold all the cards. Just hope we keep our bottlei own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

The only through-and-through prospect is Luis Alberto. We have already signed four players. Not really sure we have much to complain about to be honest.
On Aspas, a Spanish Journo was saying yesterday how prem clubs had come to the rescue of some spanish ones, by buying players for big money..ie: Aspas, when the same player had he been bought by another spanish club would have been worth around 3mill.
Maybe he'll be great and BR has spotted a little gem, i don't know.
edit: Also said Southampton bought a player from the same club as we did ASpas, but for a lot less, he's a bargain apparently.

Aspas - for some reason, i'm little hopeful/excited to seeOriginally posted by Vermilion View PostOn Aspas, a Spanish Journo was saying yesterday how prem clubs had come to the rescue of some spanish ones, by buying players for big money..ie: Aspas, when the same player had he been bought by another spanish club would have been worth around 3mill.

Luis Alberto though, without being harsh, i'm not expecting to see much from him - hopefully he proves me wrong and tears it up. I'd be pretty pleased if he just improves on assaidi and gives us a decent option/addition to the squad, as opposed to assaidi who is just a passengeri own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

I agree with all of that, but I can't see us saying "We won't sell to a PL rival", when we actually sold Torres to Chelsea.Originally posted by PTP View Postpleased with the club's stance - they've made all the right noises and moves so far.

I do not think we are averse to selling Suarez in England. If the offer is totally stupid and he properly kicks off then I think he'll be sold. Arsenal would be a ridiculous choice for him

Torres was way past it, once great but had become a 2 bit hack. The price we got for him of course we were willing to sell to anyone.Originally posted by Sarb View PostI agree with all of that, but I can't see us saying "We won't sell to a PL rival", when we actually sold Torres to Chelsea.
It was a ridiculous deal, we got double his value.
A similar deal for Suarez would see him going for ~100m.
