Yeah, I see it the same way. If he gets 10-15 assists and generally creates chaos then he'll have had a great season.

20 each would be a very good return on the investment next year.

What the hell does that bloke offer Suarez, when he gestures towards the leather couch ? 28secs in, because Suarez's answer..combined with his look of disgust is quite...well...strange ?
he tells him to just have a seat on the bench, and luis says "suarez doesn't sit on the bench."

It was'nt really a serious question.

          But thanks.

Still sounds to me like he said something very crude to young Luis though.

Luis Suarez credits Fernando Torres for start to Liverpool FC life

Luis Suarez has Fernando Torres to thank for his explosive start to life at Liverpool.

The 24-year-old is currently in Argentina ahead of Uruguay's opening Copa America group game with Peru on Monday night after an enjoyable half season in the Premier League, which have already seen him become revered by the Anfield faithful.

But despite the acclaim he received, Suarez's immediate arrival from Ajax was overshadowed by Torres's £50million defection to Chelsea, which incurred the ire of Reds' supporters.

Suarez, however, has revealed that the Spain international offered him some valuable advice prior to leaving for the Blues, which he attributes in part to his acclimatisation to life in England

"We were in touch for a few days when he was waiting for his transfer and mine had already been completed," he told Don Balon.

"He told me to be the same player I had been until that moment, that I shouldn't try to change, that Liverpool are a great team, and that they would help me a lot to grow.

"The truth is his advice helped me, he was absolutely right."

Reflecting on a rollercoaster campaign for Liverpool, which resulted in Kenny Dalglish's side narrowly missing out on Europa League qualification, Suarez added: "It was a difficult season because it started very badly.

"Then, halfway the league, the team started to play better, started to win more games and with just two games left we had the chance to qualify for the Europa League.

"We couldn't do it by our own fault, losing the [last] home game against Tottenham."

Uruguay into the semis of the Copa America after beating Argies on pens. Looks like Luis won't have much of a pre-season. Brazil out today as well, so Uruguay have a decent chance of winning it.

Bugger, we could really do with Suarez, Johnson and Gerrard NOT being out for the start of the season. A good start could be the difference between going for the league and not going for it. We have the squad to finish stronger at the end this time.

Surely Johnson should be fully fit as he only picked up a small niggle and was left behind from Asia as a precaution.

And Gerrard should be fit to start should he not, although maybe not exactly match fit?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Gerrard will definitely be off the pace at the start, as he hasn't even started light training. Johnson's training pictures I just saw so am a little relieved as he could provide some crucial goals early in the season.

Aye, I would consider getting him to play a similar role as he did when not fully fit against United last year (wasn’t it United?). In that game he played in the centre, held his position and kept things simple. I’d possibly then play Aquilani as the playmaker further forward.

I hope you're right Hedge, I really do. But Stevie's evasiveness from Mostar's stalking is a slight worry.
