Suarez is going to have a "Torres 07-08" season, maybe even better.

The guy is just unstoppable and what's so great about him, is that he doesn't rely on pace to do the things he does. Sure, he's quick, but he'll still be an awesome player when he's 32.

15+ goals, 15+ assists, mark it down.

He's got three weeks until our first game.

That's enough time for him to take a 10 day holiday with family, ten days of training and then throw him back in at the deep end.

He should at least be on the bench against Sunderland.

Yep, agreed. He could easily have 2 weeks off and then do some fitness training for the week before the first day of the season - he's been playing for Uruguay anyway, so it's not like he'll have gone 2 months without football.

It's not like he's gearing up for a gruelling 50 game season anyway.

Let's hope for 38 league games and a few in the FA Cup...no tournie next summer either.

          He'll be fine

I'm not so sure that Kenny is expecting him to be ready for Sunderland. It would be nice but we do play at home and have finally healthy Carroll and bunch of new signings so we should be fine to win this one without him being in a lineup.

Good to see you're back from your holiday

Hopefully he'll be available for the bench at least and can be called upon if things don't go to plan against Man U reserves.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

                Agreed x2.

He had plenty of time off earlier in the year, plus had a bit of break before the Copa, give him 7/10 days off now and he should be ready to destroy Sunderland.

We're a proper one man team again.

Didn't he have 5 weeks off in May/June, like Lucas? Throw in another 10 days on the tail end and that's a normal break. Would have been nice for Uruguay to have him off the pitch for a minute or two. Lucas is due back in the next week or so, yes? Luis should be on the same schedule, roughly, adding in another 10 days? Just thinking out loud...

Think its probably a good thing not to get 'attached' to him like we somewhat did with that other fool.....................just enjoy him for what he is right now with us, a superb, unpredictable forward with bags of potential.

It is up to us really IMO. If we challenge and win trophies then he stays. If we don't then he will leave in two or three years time.

Agree. Liverpool ARE "the big boys". We haven't played to our history and potential for long enough. Tired of players chasing trophies with one or two clubs; we need to reclaim our place at the top and Suarez will be a key to that.

                              I hope you're right Arn.

My biggest fear is that he turns league upside down next season and Barca comes looking for hm and we lose him next summer no matter where we finish..
