    It isn't very optimistic but I'd rather the club at least considered selling while he's still deep in his contract than let him go towards the end of it for a song. FWIW, I don't think Luis is that sort of player, going solely on how he conducted himself during his Ajax exit which was extraordinarily classy, he'll want to make sure the club gets a fair price for him.

    I also think it's paramount that we re-negociate his contract as soon as possible with a decent increase in wages and another year on the end of it, he deserves it having proved his value.

            I agree. I'm worried about the toll that constant competition will have on Suarez. In the last two seasons he's had the World Cup, Copa America and if Uruguay qualify for the Euros next summer that means he'll have had 3 seasons without a real break. At some point burn out must be considered a real concern.
            A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

                  Didn't he have a 7 week break for his biting ban prior to joining us?

                    yes, plus 3-4 weeks at the end of season prior to the Copa, plus three weeks now.
