Controversial Liverpool striker Luis Suarez says he fully expects to stay at Anfield next season.
Suarez has been linked with a move away from Liverpool in the wake of the eight-match ban given for racial abuse directed toward Manchester United defender Patrice Evra, with Paris St Germain reportedly interested. However, the Uruguayan has now stated he is confident that he will not move on in the summer.
"I will continue at Liverpool," Suarez told the Daily Telegraph. "It is obvious I will continue.
"I have four years left on my contract and I am very happy and content to be here and I hope good things continue."
Suarez also said he had moved on from the Evra incident.
He added: "I am over that. Obviously the important thing was the support from all the people and there is no need to talk about that as it is already in the past."

If we win the Fa cup, I hope they don't believe we have the squad to push on next season to a better league position. We do need some better players and some of the comments I've read recently do worry me.Comment

Are we still waiting for Evra to receive his four match ban for abusing Suarez or have the FA conveniently forgotten about the events that led to Evra being racially abused 5, 6, 7, 10 or more times?Comment

Bit of genius from Luis for his goal on Saturday - as he and Distin chase the ball, Luis sprints - as Distin reaches the ball, Luis appears to slow down and stop chasing, giving Distin a false sense of security - as soon as Distin turns his back and cannot see Suarez, Luis bursts into life and anticipates the error - once Distin plays the ball, Suarez is already at full pelt and latches straight onto it.
Wonderfully clever play
