non of us wants suarez to go, even for silly money.
he has recently signed a new deal but that is no guarantee the club hierarchy might not consider selling to re-invest funds. getting him signed up to a new long term deal might only mean we can look for a decent sell on fee to buy out the rest of his contract and still pocket some money.

we need to keep him, and add some more quality for the present. we cannot re-gain a top four position in the next couple of years with the current squad. the youth will take a few years to come to their peak.

        Pardon the source:

Man City firmly deny Suarez interest - but I totally trust the Merseyside-based reporters who wrote those stories this morning. Intrigue. @philmcnulty 1 hour ago
        Oh I don't know.

I had the most surreal dream this morning...
I was part of the club where Luis played also...went into work & a meeting had been arranged...boss said changes were being made & i noticed Suarez was not present!
I asked where he was & boss said he was sold! I went nuts & asked why/how much/what were our future plans etc...still not happy i said they show no ambition & i would no longer play for them...other players boycotted too!

Waaaaaaa:'( felt very real & emotional! Having read the rumors last night must have stayed in my subconcious!

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has brushed aside newspaper reports linking Luis Suarez with a big money move away from Anfield.

Speaking at his weekly press conference, the Reds boss said "Suarez is certainly not someone we want to sell or move on. We want to add players, not lose them. He's very happy here. There will be no bidding war. He's staying here."

His comments come amid intense press speculation that Manchester City are preparing a bid for the Uruguayan hitman.

Reports suggest Robert Mancini is an admirer - and is lining up a bid of up to £50 million to snatch him from Rodgers in the January transfer window.

Getting asked about Suarez must be ****ing tedious for Rodgers now

Now we want Luis to say:

' I ****ing love it at Liverpool, i'm not moving anywhere, so **** off'

                      or something similar.
                      We come not to play.

Falcao would surely present them the same problem yet it seems fairly accepted they want him.

                          Was £40m last night.

We'll have enough for a new stadium come January

He shouldn't have to really. he only signed a new contract a few months ago. His commitment to the club shouldn't be questioned.

He doesn't need to defend himself, he just needs to keep banging in the goals

Must be able to unearth another Torres/Suarez with that sort of money available.
Yup. Like it did last time when we invested 70 million on Carroll, Downing, and Henderson.

We right now don't have a proven scouting system. Very few managers and teams have made this selling a star player and improving the team work.

Right now what we should be focusing on is stretching the transfer budget and identifying quality to surround Suarez.

BTW, Suarez's agent is Pep Guardiola's brother. Who is presumably mates with Txiki Begiristain. So...speculating here, but Txiki informs Suarez's agent of City interest, agent tells Merseyside journos. Interest is either genuine or political, in the power struggle at City, undermining Mancini etc.
