Phil Neville admitted he dived, there wasn't any of this circus then.Originally posted by Sarb View PostNot sure on that mate. BR has backed him quite a few times in public when loads of people have said Suarez dives. Even remember Rodgers saying no one says anything about Bale etc and they pick on Suarez.
For Suarez to come out and then say "Yeah I dived to try and win a game", Rodgers looks like a mug. Suarez was hung out to dry on the racism storm I agree. But he should have kept his mouth shut on this diving storm
Whatever our opinion on this, it's a ****ing sorry mess.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

That I agree on. We know there is hypocrisy in the press when it comes to diving etc.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostPhil Neville admitted he dived, there wasn't any of this circus then.

Something that is pretty clear is that none of our players are being given any guidance on what to say and what not to say in public. Or they are but they are just totally stupid

Yes, but diving is not seen as acceptable is it.Originally posted by souliv View PostCould Rogers not have said no comment , or words to that affect
And Rodgers has been defending Suarez to the hilt.
And now Suarez has somewhat undermined that.
So yes, he deserves to be reprimanded, and Rodgers should be seen to be doing it imo.Oh I don't know.

It's not exactly a surprising reaction by the press is it?Originally posted by Nigey View PostOr maybe the press as a whole here are .... well, for not understanding the gamesmanship element of the game.
On one hand he's having a go at them, and on the other hand he's giving them ample free ammunition.Oh I don't know.

Rodgers backed him big time when all and sundry were calling Suarez a diver. Now Suarez has admitted to diving, he has to say something. The person at fault here is Suarez. He could have just commented on the handball and the general media bias and be done with it

I know what you mean but come on, is there anything that bad to make such a meal of it? This has been happening for years and not just with Suarez. They just don't like him and he doesn't like them.Originally posted by dom9 View PostIt's not exactly a surprising reaction by the press is it?

You can understand he would speak about his frustrations to the press in his home country right? It's not as if he is speaking to the press here all the time. Are we winning?
