Each to their own - and it was great watching Aldo score all those goals for a couple of years - but he's not a patch on Suarez IMO.
    Yeah.

That front 3 of Aldridge, Beardsley and Barnes were fantastic to watch. As a trio, I found them more exciting to watch. Of course, Aldridge is obviously the weakest technically of the players I've listed.
    Oh I don't know.

And then he scored than goal in the World Cup against Argentina (I still supported England in those days). He was exciting, clinical, lethal, electric.

Then there was the FA Cup final he won for us single handedly (apart from Henchoz's own helping hands).

Of course it all went wrong pretty rapidly, but for about 3 seasons, the present and the future were looking extremely bright.

I guess I'm more jaded now.

        It is true.

Things are much more exciting the first time. I envy people who feel the same exhilaration at watching football when they're in their mid 30s as they did when they were teenagers.

Then again, that must be hard work. I'd probably be in tears most weeks given our general form the past 15 odd years.

I was v cynical, v jaded by the modern game. However, at 40 years of age, Suarez has helped me fall in love with the game again.

Great player but not a patch on Suarez for excitement

Always looked knackered before he even took to the pitch - great finisher though. Doesnt half talk some ****e though!!

I'm sure last night I read somewhere that he has missed the target with his last 17 attempts at goal?
Is that right? I haven't seen a second of the Zenit game so this isn't a wind up
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

The fact that no one has posted in this thread just goes to show how much we take him for granted. Was outstanding again, ****ing running riot today.

                          Anyone got his goal?

He is a phenomenon. A number 7 or 10 and a number 9 rolled into one. Creator, scorer, worker, all round genius.

And yet I still see non LFC fans talking of their top 5 players in the league and he sometimes doesn't get a mention

Bitter *******s . Get over it FFS.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Obviously biased but he's the best player in the league, there is nobody in the Premier League that does what he does in fact there are very footballers out there in world football that have the capability and ability to offer what he does.

                                ****ing genius!
