Can't decide if Zenit or the Man City freekick was the best. Its hard to call. Both were professionally defended/goalkept (i.e. no fault with the players), I think the Man City one just eclipses this due to the better opposition and the wicked low curve.

Sorry but the Zenit free kick was on another level totally. The situation we were in and the importance of that strike was greater than the City one. No doubts at all for me. I would say it was the best free kick since Beckham v Greece.

The Zenit freekick had amazing precision, I am sure there are others out there since the Beckham one equally as good in terms of placement.

In der Premier League gehört Luis Suárez (26) zu den Besten der Besten. Fantastische 18 Tore hat er für den FC Liverpool erzielt. Nur Robin van Persie (29) hat noch einen Treffer mehr.

Am Donnerstag schoss Suárez bei Liverpools Europa-League-Aus gegen Zenit St. Petersburg zwei Freistoßknaller ins Tor.

Suárez, der Gigantenstürmer! Und bald in München?

Wechselgerüchten entgegnete er zuletzt so: „Wenn eines Tages dem Klub ein konkretes Angebot für mich gemacht wird, werden wir uns hinsetzen und sehen, was für jeden das Beste ist.“

BILD weiß: Suárez würde sofort kommen!

Und: Trotz des bevorstehenden Wechsels von Robert Lewandowski (24) vom BVB nach München steht auch Suárez auf der Kandidatenliste der Bayern! Zumindest als sofortige Alternative, falls der Dortmunder erst 2014 kommen kann.

Allerdings hat Suárez bei Liverpool einen Vertrag bis 2018. Unter 30 Millionen Ablöse werden ihn die Engländer nicht gehen lassen.

Sehr viel Geld, aber unerschwinglich wäre Suárez für Bayern nicht...
