A Utd supporting mate was talking about POTY and said it will be Bale because Suarez is simply hated by most players outside Liverpool FC. He did admit though that out of Suarez, RVP and Bale, Luis was the best overall player and would love him if he was in his team.

Luis is the ultimate "love him when he's yours" player - as we all said around the time of the Evra complaint, fans of other clubs would have defended him as vehemently as Liverpool fans did.
But NOBODY can deny his skill - he's the best player in the league by a mile and should be recognised as such. Winning an award for his goals and overall performances doesn't in anyway change his reputation but the classic moron response is obviously that voting for him to win that is encouraging racism, diving and being foreign.

One of the top 5 players in the world. He is simply brilliant. He deserves to get POTY but he wont. Bottom line is, he just doesn't give a ****e whether he does or doesn't. And that's why I love the guy.Originally posted by Captain Stu View PostHe's absolutely right.

Luis Suarez, the nutmeg king
are there any stats on how many megs he does per game/season. its his trade mark move and defenders must know its coming but he leaves them fumbling
"I tell [Luis] all the time that he always does the same thing - he tries to do nutmegs. It's always 'megs, 'megs, 'megs. And you just know that he is going to do it but you can't stop him," Enrique told Liverpoolfc.com.removing all the weak links makes us stronger

Luis Suarez has hit the jackpot after becoming the first Liverpool player to benefit from the club’s new incentive-based deals.
Anfield’s American owners have drastically restructured their squad’s contracts to avoid the problem of over-paying unwanted stars they inherited two years ago.
Suarez is on £80,000 a week basic but, because the striker has hit his goals target – he’s scored an amazing 28 goals in 38 appearances this season – his salary is boosted to £100,000 a week under the new terms of his deal.
Every Liverpool player who signs a new deal must accept bonus-related agreements, where their salaries rocket if they hit performance and appearance targets.
And that has allowed the Uruguay striker, who signed a new double-your-money contract with the Anfield club at the start of the campaign.
As well as rattling in the goals, Suarez has missed just one game this season - at West Ham, when he was suspended.
Liverpool's owner John W Henry was dismayed when he took a close look at the club's books and discovered many players were on huge deals despite being considered surplus to requirements.
Over the past two seasons he has attempted to get rid of the dead wood as contracts terminate, and the American tycoon also charged new boss Brendan Rodgers with significantly cutting the wage bill as one of his main priorities on arrival last summer.
Henry has introduced a new structure which is deemed fairer, as all contracts offered by the club are now bonus based, meaning that big money now goes to those making big contributions, rather than squad members watching from the stands.
Suarez's pay rise comes on the back of his elevation to genuine Premier League star status, and offers him an instant reward rather than having to wait to renegotiate terms.
