If it wasn't for Liverpool's mostly terrible record when it comes to signings, although with the last 2 buys we've done very well, I'd be gutted to see Suarez go but I'd be happier with 2/3 replacements for the £40m/£50m, but I'm petrified that we'll waste it.

You've got to understand that he's gone through a lot of **** since he's come here, starting with the Evra incident. Of course he'll vent out his frustrations if asked or pushed in for his opinion in his homeland.
A lot of people are annoyed because the **** he's gone through is pretty much all of his own making. If you don't want the ****, don't do the offence. It's pretty hypocritical really.

        Really don't get this.

While he was receiving unfair treatment from the FA (there are clear disparities between the punishments handed out to him and others, as we all know) and we were putting in mediocre performances while he played like an absolute world beater and displayed an unparalleled will to win, fans queued up on forums and social media to make comments along the lines of "I won't blame him when he ****s off"...."he deserves better than this, he should leave" etc.

Now it's happening and loads of people are turning on him! It's sad IMO and a ****ty indictment on our fanbase, who come across as spoilt, stroppy, moody teenagers much of the time. I don't wanna have a go at anyone who's spat their dummy out over Suarez, cos it's only football, but, y'know. I think it's ****in lame.

He's apologised for it no? Matter should have been closed.
          Are we winning?

Suarez hasn't so much 'courted controversy'... he's shagged it up the arse

At least here, people are saying that his reason for leaving is lame because its self induced. I wouldn't say it's as simple as saying people are turning on him.

I tend to agree. Although I don't think Suarez has helped himself with the style of his public pronouncements.

I don't think I ever said either of those mate. If you do the crime you need to take the **** that comes with it. That's my opinion. Yes he was treated unfairly but if he didn't do the **** then no one would have an excuse

It's pretty simplistic to say he's been treated unfairly so I wouldn't blame him for leaving. But when you take into account how the team has suffered due to his suspensions, how the club and two managers have backed him and how his fellow players backed him (then got **** for it eg. Johnson), he should have the decency to be honest. In his own words, the press and public hating him doesn't affect him. He purely wants to go and play CL football. Even then, the way he has let down all people associated with the club on numerous occasions, he should have the decency to repay the faith shown in him

He's getting dog's abuse on Twitter and some other forums. Not so much here. But still.

Gary Neville said recently that in 1986 Man United fans were "an angry mob" - for obvious reasons. I think we're the same now, again for obvious reasons. We are addicted to strife and bitterness. IMO it's fuelled mainly by the fact we haven't won the title for 22 years or whatever it is, but I think it's also a hangover from Hicks and Gillett, Hodgson and Purslow. We've become a most unpleasant bunch and it depresses me.

If he said it was for the possibility to shine in the CL then, fine, we'd find it hard to argue any differently

Maybe your heavy use of twitter gives a twitter centric view of the public mood which isn't proportional to the genuine consensus. Maybe not, i don't know, I don't use it and I don't talk to real people to find out what they think. Just a thought.

Personally, yes, although I'm sure some people would call him a cunt.

What difference do the things he says make? He's leaving, or at least he wants to leave. Who ****in cares how he dresses it up? Everything footballers say is bollocks anyway, who's interested in all that? The only thing that matters to me is that he's going, not the crap he's been advised to say to journalists.

3-4 of my LFC mates, in real life, have gone the same way. "**** him", "he can **** off the disloyal cunt" etc. I find it tedious and really lame.
