He's a footballer and most of them are greedy. It's not a positive thing, they just don't know any better. Look at Torres. Given what he has and what he had I would rather be appreciated and earn ****loads of money than be tolerated and earn slightly more than ****loads of money. We're not a crap club, we're never going to be more than one or two seasons away from the Champions League given the right financial backing. I think we need to focus on younger players with potential who can grow with the club.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

We could just refuse to sell him.Originally posted by Norbs View PostLooks like we have little choice though, no one else has bothered to bid
Letting him go to Arsenal would be crazy, not only would it weaken us it strengthens one of our main rivals for top 4. It's probably between us, Arsenal and Spurs for 4th, selling Suarez to Arsenal whatever the price doesn't make sense.Last edited by Exiled_red; 12-07-13, 06:51 AM.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The closer the season gets, the more pessimistic i feel.

No way he leaves without a transfer request. Not a chance the club will allow the star player to leave without it looking like they did everything in their power to keep him.Originally posted by Darkon View PostStill waiting for that transfer request though. No matter where he moves (small if I guess), at least make damm well sure we are not paying a huge loyalty bonus because he recently signed a new contract and now realized he wants out.
Bit like with Torres.

The club will end up teaching him a hard lesson in life, they will pay up his full contract, rip up the contract, tell him to empty his locker and **** off out of the club. That'll really teach him. Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.
