this is why they have gone after Suarez - it's just desperation....Originally posted by Chazza View PostMost I know are sick of the club settling for top four and more and more are turning against Wenger and the board for their inability to spend big and bring in top quality players.

It isn't crazy. They will probably earn hundred of millions on the deal. Money they would most probably not earn if they signed Suarez instead.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostSo Bale is reportedly leaving for Real Madrid for £85m
I know its repeated ad nauseum, but if he's worth that then, £40m for Luis - cannibalism or not? Craziness.
It would be excellent business by Real if they signed him for £85m IMO.Stop the cyberhate

Thats making a lot of assumptions about his marketability - is he really that big a name (at the moment) that they can mortgage that vastly inflated fee on him? I don't think so. Beckham, Ronaldo, Zidane, even Owen were known everywhere after making huge waves at both international and club level in the Champions League. Bale has had one revered game in the Champions League - thats it. And he's Welsh.

He isn't that big name at the moment but after a year playing for Real he will most probably be. Real will make sure of that.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostThats making a lot of assumptions about his marketability - is he really that big a name (at the moment) that they can mortgage that vastly inflated fee on him? You would have to get used to hear about Bale because Real will make sure that even if you are deaf you will hear the name Bale.Stop the cyberhate
